--- Quote ---There was a small crew filming in the HOV lanes of the CCC last night in the middle of the span. Wonder if that was it.

I Googled some stuff relevant to filming on the CCC bridge, and aparently, there was another article back in June 16, 2011 where the Crescent City Connection's high occupancy vehicle lane CAN be closed off for production filming.
https://www.nola.com/traffic/index.ssf/2011/06/filming_on_crescent_city_conne.html
--- Quote ---HOV lanes on the Crescent City Connection will be closed in both directions from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday to allow for filming by a production company, Mayor Mitch Landrieu's office announced this week.

This is what the bridge looks like.

I've been crossing those bridges for work since 1982. I can vouch about how they will shut down the HOV lanes for filming anything. They do it all the time for movies and NCIS: NO. The only time they shut the entire "right" bridge in the picture is if they are doing "explosions" or car crashes which might be distracting to the other drives on the bridge.
Plaidmoon:
Well, I don't know if TAR did anything on that bridge yesterday, but in the beginning of the TAR Finale thread, there are 2 pictures of places in New Orleans. One of them is that bridge. A big clue there.
Plaidmoon:
Here's a leftover from the Manila leg. It's just sort of interesting and doesn't really tell us much of anything. I found this on Facebook from an account based in Manila. It had the caption Team Itim @ Amazing Race 2018. I'm thinking it was taken on one of the sides of the Post Office. The four vans pictured could be vans used by the teams, possibly with provided drivers though there's no evidence for that. However, there's no red and yellow TAR markers, so it could be just utility vehicles for the transportation needs of the production staff.
Cocoa:
Yup! We saw those black vans transporting both the crew and the teams. And the building behind is one of the two National Museums (in between those two National Museums is our Pitstart/Pitstop)
The final three rode these vans, while waving at us during their exit.
Also, if I remember correctly, the last place NFL team was actually transported to the pitstop via these vans.
