Hopefully I won’t be able to watch. Cause I’ll be racing in 32.

Really enjoyed all y’all working so hard! Thanks for making it so great!

When can we expect the season to premier? How long does it normally take?

Isn't normally three months for production? ???

Weren't we rumoured to premiere in September, a few weeks back? ???

CBS has already revealed their entire fall slate. TAR isnt on it. It will very likely be the same Jan/Feb slot it occupied this year, especially with the reality theme since Survivor always airs there. It worked very well for CBS this year.

Yeah, these days even if a new primetime show fails, networks will let them play out their initial orders and not so quickly yank them off the air anymore. So January is the earliest CBS will have an open slot.

This is all so strange  why spoil the finale.  Why that you tube leak
This makes no sense at all.  Not trying to spread paranoia but seems like we are being trolled ?
Cmaybe this is not the finale ?  Could there be another leg 🤣

Seems weird that the paper was allowed to post who was in the final three?  Is that normal?

It's pretty unusual for things to be spoiled like this. I think TAR is pretty much powerless to prevent the media from publishing anything they find out. Sort of like how we get away with it. The problem was that aside from the finish line, everything was right out in the open and easy to observe. TAR could have done it differently. Having the original filming permit on Belle Isle denied and having that make the news really blew things up. Otherwise, some of the stuff they were doing might have flown under the radar.

I still cant believe the final task was right out in the open like that. I mean, it's like 99.99% a Colin and Christie victory. I know RFF doesnt leak the winner, but the finale has NEVER been this visible!

I think you're right though the one in Portland years back (TAR 13) was almost that visible. I'm not sure the local Portland media was on it quite as much though.

The locations in Portland were miles apart. The zip line at Bridge of the Gods was almost 80 miles from the Retreat Center, while the downtown sites were within blocks of each other. The final was about 2 miles from the city center but access was on a narrow road to the mat, which was a museum that was converted from the mansion of one of the city's founders. The view is tremendous, but access was easily controlled. Also, as I recall (I live in Portland) there was no real fanfare, and there were a couple of decoy teams in the mix.

Never saw the afganimals all day. After I left hidleburgh the rappelling was still set up. Is there a chance they were a later flight. It would add up they were about 1.5 hours behind.

It is crazy how neck-to-neck Tykorey and C/C were before the Hart Plaza. They kept switching leads. Tykorey really blew it.

Not likely. TAR puts all final 3 teams on the same flight.

If the editors are any good they can kind of do a fake out with Leo/Jamal like they did with Kristi/Jen last season. Build up a story of how they almost made it to the end twice, all they want to do is make it to the end. They achieve their dreams by winning the penultimate leg. Makes you think they might even win and then boom they completely flop in the finale.

I believe people are talking about they had never "finished the race", being eliminated before the final leg.

And people, FFGCSDT is talking about "they never finished the last leg THEY COMPETED", like, being unable to complete a task and going directly to the mat.

Realistically, the earliest possible premiere is January.

Or not. ;)

The spoilers in Portland were very real and potentially dangerous to the racers. The decoy teams were run after RFF made the concerns known. The threat of trouble at the Finish Line was VERY real.

Where could it possibly air in the Fall? CBS even let Jeremy Piven's bomb of a series air all 13 eps with sub 1.0 ratings even with an NFL bump and the allegations against him.

Unless they're holding it for a Spring run and not squeeze it in before Survivor.

What was surprising about Portland was that a moderator at what was then TWOP forums, inadvertently spoilered the final location a day or two beforehand. That person at least asked about what to do  with the photographic evidence and things were barely kept under wraps until filming was completed.

As to today with the other information and the updated Detroit Free Press article, one can pretty much figure out what happened.
A team not finishing the final leg......That is extremely rare and off hand, I can only think of two seasons where that ever happened.

I think my soul will like the outcome, though. We'll have to see how production edits this outcome.

As to airing, there's always the chances new series bombing in the fall. But with the live plus 7 and live plus30 metrics CBS likes to use nowdays, I think those chances are remote.

Do you think all 11 teams are staying in Detroit for a night? Or they're going home directly after the final mat?

Janelle posted videos on her Snapchat story of her and the Rilley sisters in a hotel room. Pretty sure they're staying the night.

Here's another tweet from the Detroit Free Press showing the musicians setting up at Hart Plaza. The tweet is Pacific Daylight Time, so the tweets were 3 hours later than shown.

Freep Entertainment @FreepEnt
It's a guitar army at Detroit's Hart Plaza as musicians gather for a mass performance of White Stripes' "Seven Nation Army," filming for "Amazing Race."
11:50 AM - 3 Jul 2018

Does someone know what's the relation between the song Seven Nation Army with the race or with Detroit? I don't really familiar with that song...
