Hmm good point. What if they arrived first? Is it possible? Bc the pic of them at the guardian plaza was posted hours ago and makes it seem like they were there first, so its bizarre that they hadnt repeled down the building . BUT people who have been there at the plaza the whole day havent spotted afghanimals. Hmmm
they just got to the plaza and Tyler/Corey just left

It never happened. In theory they could. The same penalties for the type of task probably still applies, if it is a ARI, Roadblock or Detour. We have seen teams arrive in a task first many times, but remain there for so long, that they lose the race there.  Some easy examples that comes to mind in S12, S14, S21 finales. But teams allegedly still completed the task, even if not shown by editing.

Even if c/c have some problem with their taxi again  :funny: they still have a big lead (approx one hour) over tykorey. They need to fck up real bad on the road for tykorey to catch up.

Question is, is the plaza really the final memory challenge? Or is there another challenge before the mat?

Considering how many Route Markers/tasks we've seen so far, there might be room for one more task and/or Route Marker before the Finish Line.

The same Twitter user kevin said they're taking down everything at the plaza and the third team never came. I'd say this likely means the race is over? If Colin and Christie were still doing tasks somewhere I don't think they could legally interrupt the course!

Afghanimals could have easily tripped up on a task between the Guardian Building and Hart Plaza. I think at this point with the sun going down and the memory task for the majority of times being the final task, Colin and Christie caught a cab to a finish line that is located somewhere outside of the city center and would have to get totally lost to not win.

Hopefully if it is health issues its not serious, though if its not the feeling of coming so far and losing due to a issue like that must hurt a lot.

Peach said pages ago that C/C and T/K were the first 2 teams there. She's pretty good about only posting confirmed things!! Unless it's all an elaborate misdirection to hide the winner!
