Doesn't really sound like a KOR leg if colin and Christie hung around for a while and were then led away.

Reply to FFGCDT. Did Vicole see them finish? Why would they look devastated? She didn’t mention that to me. They were devastated while finishing the task since they probably knew they were last. So we don’t know what their reaction is on the mat.

Yup.

I asked her if shortly after teams checked in, whether or not they were instructed to keep on racing. She said each team was on the mat talking to Phil for quite a while. So it seems unlikely that this was a KOR. The clues in Phil's pocket were prob clues for the finale. And Vicole looked devastated (edit) while doing the task

BUT, we still gotta wait for airport sightings. There's a small chance they might be doing a F4 finale again (i doubt that tho)

Yeah need to clarify that. They looked devastated while finishing the task. And yes, she didnt see Vicole on the mat. So we dont know if they were eliminated or the F4 finale is in play again

If this wasn't a KOR for the final, that would be pretty cruel. The teams that watched the last several seasons would know this twist, so for the last placer to not move on would be equivalent to Phil standing there ripping a clue envelope in half in front of them, lol.

Like i said, it is unlikely that this was a KOR, because teams spent a significant amount of time on the mat talking to Phil. And the girl told me that they weren't instructed to keep on racing. So all signs point to this being an elimination penultimate leg and Vicole falling short.

BUT best to wait for airport or USA sightings to be 100% sure

Why couldn’t it be a sign of a non-elimination? Sorry I’m new to this. In a non-elimination would they tell the other teams it was a non-elimination? I would assume they only tell the last place team.

Teams wouldn't be given a clue if it wasn't a KOR/no pit stop leg. If it is into the final leg, then teams probably wouldn't need to rush off to get to Heahthrow as they'll have a long wait there for a flight to the flight city whether direct or via a connection.
Most likely production wants to get to the final city ahead of the teams, so I would expect teams will be fed onto a flight later than production and Phil. Just my $.02.

In a non-elimination, yes. In a Keep On Racing (KOR), Phil's like "You're team number so-and-so...but you're still racing." (Reach in back pocket) "Here's your next clue" to every team.

Recent seasons editing only shows him telling the last team, though, to keep the suspense of the episode.

OK, Is it normal for Phil to give clues at the pitstop when it's NOT a KOR? I don't recall ever seeing that. I think it's a KOR.

This would work with the filming of the musical event in Detroit from 5-7pm tomorrow. Sounds like a road block where you have to find a person in a group of 1000. At least that's my thought.

TAR25? I can see why, I remember that finish being pretty controversial with the fans. A team who rightfully earned a spot in the finale got booted and the saved 4th team wins.

Both 25 & 26 had a final 4 KOR, where one team was eliminated during the final leg. Though I think 26 was filmed while 25 was being shown, so people on 26 did not expect it to come.

I'm still hopeful that it's a KOR into the penultimate leg- I'm going to hope for a return to 13 legs until the day I die.

I think the dilemma is, when it’s a penultimate leg with elimination, Phil needs to tell them they’re one of the three teams competing for a million, hence the need to chat more after and ask them to share their feelings.

If in fact it’s a non-elimination, there would not be such mention and I don’t think teams would be thrilled to not hear this speech (in contrast to sighting saying C/C were happy on the mat).

If it is a KOR, I think it’s still possible Phil can chat with them a bit (as I don’t think they really rush off immediately, they could edit to make it look like so when broadcast), but the thing is sightings would show Phil hand them a clue for sure.

I’m confused then why Phil kept the clues but no one saw him giving it out?
