Thats not true at all. Racers run to the gate to switch their seat assignments. If you get to the gate you can ask to be moved to the front regardless of the seat accomodation you have

With the route now going downwards, I am hoping the penultimate leg will be in Africa (Morocco/Senegal) before they head back to US. This will be the first time it will happen in TAR history.

... Otherwise I'm predicting Barcelona. They haven't done a leg there since Season 10, and it was nothing but a transfer point in Season 21.

So assuming Switzerland is 2 elim legs, our probable F5 is Tyler/Korey, Chris/Bret, Victor/Nicole, Leo/Jamal, and probably Becca/Floyd? (Could still be Colin/Christie or the Reillys as the last team).

Ahh croatia. There's that one eastern europe leg I talked about *intuition OP*

Also, many teams (yes, including team Fun) have been spotted in and around Split and it's many forts and fortresses. There's also a travelocity roaming gnome, so pay attention to that factor.

Definitely feel like Spain might be the next country. This is a race that involves returning racers, and based on the abundance of overused countries we got in s18 and s24, I don't think this season will be an exception.
Either Spain or Portugal will take the cake, I feel. But there is that off chance for Africa or Latin America, so...

I guess Latin America is more likely in abundance of many Spanish-speaking countries (e.g., Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Peru) in that geographical region for two legs. Last season had Europe overload and wouldn't traverse across Western Europe or North Africa.

^ There hasn't been a single season of TAR that has had the last non-elimination leg used before leg 8. They have however had multiple seasons that used the last non-elim on leg 8, but i'm thinking even that would be an elim leg this season. Rachel/Elissa were spotted on leg 8, and everyone else has been spotted in Croatia, so Colin/Christie must have been out on leg 7

There has to have been a U-Turn at this point and I wonder if Colin & Christie were targeted for their race prowess in Switzerland. No proof of this obviously just speculation!!!

True, that's my speculation as well.
Leg 7 could be non-elim or KOR given the fact that they stay in the same country next leg, though it may not be a norm but for logistic reason I think that makes more sense.
Then Leg 8 can get the 7th team out, with 6 left, and Leg 9 with 6th team out and 5 left. In this case, there is still a chance that Colin/Christie (or Rachel's team) can be still in.
And don't forget they can still pull a Final 4 in finale situation and eliminate the 4th team midway.. so many possibilities

Yes I agree with you that it makes more sense the non elim would be the first leg or even KOR because of the same place. Doesn’t matter about past seasons each season is different and they will try to switch it up of course

I watched the instagram story that showed Bret & Chris racing in Croatia and it looks like the Travelocity Roaming Gnome makes a reappearance in that leg! Bret & Chris has their shirt off and seemed wet while running with the gnome so I wonder if they were headed for the pit stop? They clearly completed at least one task already!

I don't think that they would be shirtless and without their backpacks if they were heading to a pit stop.

There should be FIVE (or maybe even SIX teams if Switz 2 was a NEL)) left with at least one more NEL to come.

So we still have a POSSIBILITY of One more team anyway. Not a sure thing but...possible.

So please...go look for sightings and stop moaning here. I will move some posts THIS time, but from here on out I am just deleting, Time is precious right now, lets use it wisely!

Now that the picture of Becca & Floyd is larger you can see a gnome sitting in the lower right corner.

Could the pic of Becca and Floyd be a Roadblock? Only Floyd was dressed like that! If it was a detour, wouldn't Becca be dressed in costume too?
