Leg 1: St.John's, Newfoundland and Labrador (start line) to Vancouver, British Columbia
Leg 2: Fort McMurray, Alberta
Leg 3: Castelgar/Nelson, British Columbia
Leg 4: Beijing, China
Leg 5: Shanghai, China
Leg 6: Ottawa, Ontario/Gatineau, Quebec
Leg 7: Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador
Leg 8: Panama City, Panama
Leg 9: Regina, Saskatchewan
Leg 10: Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario
Leg 11: Quebec City, Quebec.
What a convoluted route!

Weirdest ever.
But TARC3 had 12 legs.. cannot rule out that we have missed another leg right? Seems we had quite a bit of l o n g time gaps... ???

They have roughly a 1 day break after the filming of each leg. Same thing with Season 4.

The route looks a little better when mapped out if they had just kept the opening Leg in Vancouver instead of that unnecessary cross country flight. Or if they really wanted St. John's as the Starting Line, have a full Leg there and then continue on from there.

Agreed.

I think they wanted them to take long flights on each leg. I guess this makes the race a bit more exciting, at least for the producers' point of view. For me, I just feel they're throwing money out of the window. Let's just hope they've put lots of effort on tasks (ugh curling :groan:)

True, but TARC3 had 12 teams. Now, there's only 10, so I guess it will be them same number of legs as TARC4

It wasn't just regular curling in Sault-Ste. Marie...
It was CrokiCurl!
A combination of Crokinole - an iconic Canadian game and Curling (another iconic Canadian game).
You can tell by the posts on the ice. I had never seen it played outside of Manitoba though.

I have pictures but I'm waiting for permission to post here.
