TAR Canada 5: Speculation & Discussion of SPOILERS
stunami:
The crew is back home so Quebec WAS the finale leg!
Several things:
- As regard to the pétanque tweet, the person said in french: that they were spotted WHERE people play pétanque (so it's not 100% sure they had a pétanque task, maybe they just had a cluebox next to them).
We are missing a leg between Regina and Quebec... Most probably a leg in a rural area, either one of the territories, or maybe northern Manitoba like some suggested (Churchill?)
Lots of flights from the Quebec province, Ottawa and Toronto
Maanca:
Can't see them omitting both the north and the maritimes (NL isn't considered a part of that region), they never have before.
If Churchill, it's small and remote, but very tourist-oriented. One thing I know they offer there is "safaris" to see the arctic wildlife (polar bears, etc). That'd come to mind for a great task.
Leafsfan:
So our final speculated route:
Leg 1: St.John's, Newfoundland and Labrador (start line) to Vancouver, British Columbia
Leg 2: Fort McMurray, Alberta
Leg 3: Castelgar/Nelson, British Columbia
Leg 4: Beijing, China
Leg 5: Shanghai, China
Leg 6: Ottawa, Ontario/Gatineau, Quebec
Leg 7: Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador
Leg 8: Panama City, Panama
Leg 9: Regina, Saskatchewan
Leg 10: Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario
Leg 11: Quebec City, Quebec.
What a convoluted route!
stunami:
And how funny is it that the 3 teams spotted are most probably our final 3... we still don't know who is 4th...

Weirdest ever.
But TARC3 had 12 legs.. cannot rule out that we have missed another leg right? Seems we had quite a bit of l o n g time gaps... ???
