From the Bell PR July 28: http://www.bellmedia.ca/pr/press/motive-and-the-amazing-race-canada-upcoming-episode-synopses-2/
Looks like no new episode Aug 16th, instead there is a recap show:
"8 p.m. – THE AMAZING RACE CANADA: TOP 20 MOMENTS – SPECIAL EPISODE
THE AMAZING RACE CANADA: TOP 20 MOMENTS counts down the 20 biggest and most exciting moments from the race so far, giving viewers the chance to relive all of the Roadblocks, Detours, tears, laughs and challenges that the Racers encountered. Catch up on the first seven episodes of the hit series and follow the Racers as they struggle and fight their way to the finish line."
In addition, although the PR says "new episode" on Aug 9, all the listings ep descriptions & titles I see say it is "Am I really Operating the Plane?". So I will try to verify.
I am just wondering if they are thinking of pre-empting the episodes due to the Olympics (airing on CBC).

BTW with next leg probably including the 5th elimination, meaning half of the teams of the season, isn't this the point we used to get some sort of "After the Race" special featuring the eliminated teams so far, or has nothing of sorts been announced for this season? Wonder if that is also something out due to the Olympic Games factor.

I think that's what the mid-season special Top 20 Moments is. Chances are they will have eliminated teams on, and I suspect they haven't announced it yet...they are waiting for the next episode & the team eliminated there. They kept mum on S2 like this, when the team eliminated was Rex and Bob.
And, btw still no word on next episode. The PR says there will be a new ep on Tuesday, but there is no title yet and no ep description in any schedule. There is a sneak peek on the site, but NO preview, (which usually quotes the title). Mark Lysakowski tweeted this morning they r just mixing episode 7 (the next episode) today. Sounds like they are behind on a tight schedule...so that recap show will give them some time.
Leafsfan:
Air Canada is sponsoring the Olympics with the same contest they ran during TARCAN. Both clash in terms of schedule, so maybe they are back next year? ???
