We don't know that Zanzibar and mainland Tanzania are separate legs.

The odds are, based on TAR 11, that teams transited through the Tanzania mainland to get to Zanzibar. That does not mean that they got any clues or tasks on the mainland, just that it was a transit point.

I guess, if it turns out that's where they're stopping, Milan proper would make a nice leg. It's barely been visited (1 route marker and Fast Forward at the beginning of Season 4 was it).

But Italy's kind of up there on the # of seasons visited list.

Weird thing is a couple days ago I was re watching TAR 4 Leg 1 where they went to Milan.
A couple days before the Sao Paulo leg, I re watched TAR 9 Leg 1 where they went to Sao Paulo.

I would recommend the first one cuz U.S.>Panama>South America>Africa>Europe>Africa would be pretty badass and ridiculous

Milan 

In recent Italy legs (aka not TAR12 Italy because that was amazing <3) we have had such AMAZING (sarcasm) tasks such as:
-Playing with toy cars
-Cleaning a statue
-Playing with helicopters for an FF
-Going Go-Karting
-Rappelling in a Parking Lot
-Playing with swords

Even TAR25, while a good season, was pretty dull in its Italy leg.

Hoping for the best this season but meh @ Italy. The TAR4 Milan premiere was godawful, hopefully this leg can be culturally relevant and at least fun to watch!

So far we've had the iconic Panama Canal, the hustle & bustle of Sao Paulo, the exotic island of Zanzibar, scenic Alesund in Norway and now the picturesque Lake Como in Italy.

Sad but true. Remember in season 27 they promoted Rotterdam as a new destination. Which isn't that special for the fact the Netherlands is a small country.

Not holding my breath for new countries once they get to Asia, because that's where they pretty much phone it in for routes now (China, India, Indonesia, Japan. Take your pick)

South Korea would be frickin amazing and it's on my Asian wishlist, but having them race in South Korea for the penultimate leg/with 4 teams remaining for the 3rd time out of 3 wouldn't be as exciting.. and even underwhelming.
