I can't believe nobody has replied to this thread. I might forget some, so I might keep replying from time to time.

Joys:
~The team I was rooting for won this season.
~A dominating team didn't win.
~Multiple memory tasks in the finale.
~Better than TAR24.
~10 Countries and 5 Continents. :conf:
~Live Start in Venice Beach.
~The return of the SLT.
~One team I didn't like from the beginning got the 1st boot.
~Leg 2's 3-way cab race to the pit stop.
~Leg 3's somewhat linear but dramatic leg.
~Tanner & Josh vs Justin & Diana drama, with Kelsey and especially Joey puppet mastering. :funny:
~The waste on the EP this season, and the interesting new twist on the EP.
~Episode 4's suspenseful end.
~W-turn before the pit stop.
~Balancing a basket of fruits on the head to the pit stop in Leg 5.
~Leg 5's dramatic results.
~Tiffany & Krista showing potential in Legs 5, 6, 7.
~Dramatic end that is full of mistakes in Leg 7.
~Early NEL's.
~The return of the single U-turn.
~The HK-Macau leg, plus the drama with Justin & Diana, plus Tiffany's inspiring motivational speech.
~New visit to Zimbabwe.
~Reliving moments and visiting places from earlier seasons.
~Leg 3 overall, Leg 5 overall, Leg 7 overall, Leg 11 overall, and Leg 12 overall.

I'll post this ahead since I'm using my phone to type such a long block of text. My disappointments to come later.

JOY
- They really step it up with the route this season. 10 countries visit with only 2 Double Legs. Zimbabwe's visiting is also nice.

- The cast except [REDACTED] & Diana are all pretty solid. The entire of F6 except you know how are all shine in their own way and I wouldn't mind to see any other teams (except [REDACTED] & Diana) make it to F3 this season.

- I like the new Express Pass twist.

- 3 Memory Challenges in the Finale. <3 (If only it was a little more complicated, but it's always good to have Memory Challenge at the very end)

DISAPPOINTMENT
- Although the route is spectacular. The leg design is ruining everything. Starting from leg 1, really?. One team on first flight. Imagine if [REDACTED] & Diana complete the FF and get the EP when the rest are not even made it to the first ARI yet. :res: Then we have consecutive legs with no bunching at all starting from Leg 2-3 then Leg 4-5 and then Leg 9-10. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? :res: This not only screwed up a lot of teams (Ex. Ernest & Jin and Denise & James Earl who did everything correctly but just cannot catch up.), but it also make it super linear and all the front pack can roam easily to Pit Stop. The tasks are not good either. We have 999 tasks involved height crammed up in 3 consecutive legs. (AND ALL OF THEM WERE ROADBLOCK, SERIOUSLY?) :res: And of course, who can forget that we made it all the way to Zimbabwe just to play some random golf. :res:

- I'm not really impressed with the way they handle the second half of the race. 3 European legs feel almost the same? (I miss it back in TAR22 when we have 4 European Legs but manage to cover Scenic Snowy Mt. + Crazy Urban Night Leg + Rural Scotland + Northern Island Industrial Port together or even TAR26 with only 3 legs but manage to pull an amazing steak of Rural Freezing Germany + Mediterranean French + Crazy Amsterdam) 2 legs in the same city in India? China at the end? It kinda ruin the great start.

- With 9999 new twists this season. 90 percents of them ARE FAILED. I absolutely don't want to see Single U-Turn in LINEAR LEG, U-TURN right in front of the Pit Stop or Double Roadblock Speedbump EVER again.

- Of course, the editing. It is so messy. I miss the day in old era where we got to see teams doing stuff, airport drama and whatever. Right now, it's like we only see them reading clue, getting clue, 30 seconds segment of them performing and then check-in. :res: Please fix the editing as soon as possible please. It's not the viewer's work to fix your edit! (Gamer <3)

- [REDACTED]. Nuff's said. :res: One wrong casting can ruin a potentially good season forever.

Too much linearity kill this season so bad

They've obviously lost Ford's sponsorship, which complicates their attempts at non-linearity a little. No self-driving.

And yes... the first TAR season with no self-driving has involved.

One of the biggest disappointments is definitely the editing. Post S23:

1. No full intro.
2. Phil didn't announce ALL teams placement.
3. No self-driving (S27).
4. They didn't show us the moment when teams rip the clue in the beginning of the leg. It's always fun to see racers' expression when they know their next destination.
5. Phil's narration in the beginning of the leg.
6. Scene at the airport
7. ............
8. ............

Is there any way we can suggest this to Phil or CBS?

Here comes my list of disappointments for this season:
~The editing. :) (Some might be elaborated later.)
~Leg 1 was underwhelming, overall.
~Leg 1 FF would've been fine to waste if they had another FF in the season. I miss seeing the FF in action, and I miss seeing about 2 or more FF's in 1 season. :(
~Leg 4 and 5 should've been a 2-hour episode due to the leg design. ???
~Leg 4's W-turn at the pit stop looked great, but because of it being at the pit stop, it was not used properly.
~Leg 5 was linear despite the enjoyable exotic locations.
~Leg 6 was dull.
~No prizes for arriving 1st in zero-hour pit stops.
~Cindy & Rick couldn't maintain a lead due to their mistakes.
~Tanner & Josh going downwards as the season progressed.
~Justin & Diana being the only ones in the 1st flight in Poland.
~Speedbump. :groan:
~The Indian legs this season had disappointing results.
~Leg 11's elimination result. :funny:
~Too many linear legs: (Legs 2, 4+5, 6, 8, 10+11)
~4 Heights roadblocks in a row from Legs 4 to 6.
~The edited long intro usually at the latter half of the season, or in TAR24's case: final episode, was never shown this season. I'm the kind of viewer who is okay with short intros, but please give an edited long intro at least on the final leg.
~I miss hearing Phil narrating historical stuff after intros. :( It's supposed to make me learn about what the country has.
~When a 90-minute episode is possible (especially in earlier legs), please use it so that not everything is crammed in a 60-minute episode. :gaah:
~Please give equal screentime to each team. If there's tension, please don't focus it.

I might be missing some more, so I might add more disappointments.

P.S. It's also disappointing how not a lot of people post in this thread after this season's end compared to those in past seasons. :hug?:

Joys:
- Probably the best final Leg in years.
- An outstanding Cast overall.  (With the exception of "Thou Who Shall Not be Named")
- Amazing locations.  :luvya:
- A good Starting Line Task.
- A decent winning team.  (One of the few M/F Winners that I don't actually mind)

Disappointments:
- The EDITING!!!!
- NO FULL INTRO FOR THE FINAL EPISODE!!!!!!!!  :groan:  (:;)  :gaah:
I actually tolerated producers removing the intro during the middle episodes, PROVIDING they used the full intro for Episode 1, AND the final Episode.  Could they not just cut 30 seconds of Justin's arrogance one time??!!!  :gaah:

- Awful boot order for most the Race.  :(
- Sooooooo many linear Legs.
- All the U-Turn talk that between Justin & Diana and Tanner & Josh, which amounted to nothing.
- All the EP talk, that again, amounted to NOTHING.
- The Dominance of an Awful Team.  :groan:
.... The World is Waiting! ....

Probably my biggest joy and SURPRISE:
After a season of linear legs and underwhelming challenges... the finale was the best since, like, Season 21? Funnily, Season 21 is another season that received negative reactions during the season but ended up having a great final leg.

Season 25 is probably my favorite of the HD seasons, but I have to agree with others who think it's overrated -- ESPECIALLY the finale. Giving a manila envelope, jumping through glass, rescuing a dummy? Lame. The final task was really the only good task in that finale. Season 27 was basically the same, as I mentioned in the live thread, but the big plus was the small memory tasks they included.

Joys:
- Saying "MAY be eliminated" on Leg 1.
- Tiffany & Krista :hrt:
- Denise & James Earl :hrt:
- Tanner & Josh :hrt:
- The Water Show Roadblock was one of the coolest challenges (visually)
- First season to visit 10 countries since Season 27 :o
- This season had more suspenseful finishes than Season 26

Disappointments:
- Saying "WILL be eliminated" on Leg 11.
- Express Pass twist is meh. I prefer one team holding two and having to give it away by Leg 4 or 5.
- Tanner & Josh's Speed Bump :gah:
- Basically new twist they tried this season didn't work
- EDITING

I've been reminded. :wise

Joys:
3 U-turns in 1 season. I think they just broke down a W-turn into 2 legs, so it became 1 W-turn + 2 single U-turns. Still, I like how they have more U-turns despite the lack of FF this season.

I forgot mentioning the views in Africa. They're the best views this season. :luvya:

Disappointments:
Besides the 1st elimination, the boot order was tragic, disappointing, sad, heart-melting, plus whatever other adjectives that're related.
Adam & Alex: Since I didn't see much from them, I can't say much. :( I just know they have potential after their Leg 1 impressions.
Ernest & Jin: Performed well on their last leg. Very entertaining too! :(
Jazmine & Danielle: I was rooting for them before the race, but I think they were underdeveloped. :( Still, they had potential IMO.
Cindy & Rick: Potentially strong team, but can't keep a lead; could be able to win a leg though. :(
Tanner & Josh: They were strong, but their downward spiral... :(
Denise & JE: Although not strong, I'm glad they showed us enough on the race. Still a sad elimination for them. :(
Tiffany & Krista: After what happened in their last roadblock, their elimination was sad. And unlike some other weak girl teams, they showed some potential during Zimbabwe, France, and the Netherlands. Sadly, their time had to come; still a sad elimination too. :(
If there's anyone who I wouldn't be sad about, it's probably gonna be the Paparazzi since I don't think I really like them in the 1st place, and Justin & Diana towards the latter parts of the race (If they were 1st boots, it would be really sad I think).

No self-driving leg just hurts. Ford possibly dropping out made this season worse to a certain degree. Without a self-driving leg, TAR can't ever be the same. Ford, :dontgo:

This one is both a joy and a disappointment: 1st leg, "may be eliminated;" penultimate leg, "will be eliminated."

I think Tanner and Josh's speedbump was totally unfair and easily the worst in the history of the show.Past speedbumps were a lot easier and included sitting on ice, sitting in a sauna, and eating ice cream.I hope they have a second chance or another Unfinished Business because that might right a wrong.

I don't think anyone said this, but I like Phil's in game updates.  It is refreshing to see.

I agree with everyone else, no self driving!  I look forward to the people that say, I can't drive stick shift!

It started in TAR25, and I think everyone thinks that it's a normal thing in TAR now. :grins: If it disappears, then I think it would become a disappointment to most.

I guess Phil's updates give him more to do, but I personally don't like it. See how Phil doesn't say everyone's placement anymore? I'd rather him do that instead of the unnecessary updates (the "Currently in 1st" tells us who's in 1st. Thanks.)

Forgot to mention:

Joy:
- Unique KOR/NEL pattern! Made the middle of the season feel extremely long but it was still refreshing to see something new.

My biggest dissapointment is that this season will not be remembered as the season won by Kelsey&Joey but it will be remember as the season that the green team lost...
