Looks like all the teams hit rough seas this episode, especially Cindy & Rick after literally sinking their chances of arriving on the Finish Line first on four different modes of transportation: a train, a tram, a vessel, and finally a bus. The Netherlands brought out some of the worst (performance reactions) in some teams, and a pep in steps for others. I think the Rotterdam/The Hague leg delivered some of the most mind-over-matter inducing tasks of this season thus far. Hopefully, this kind of trend can continue and not the bad editing streak we are keeping track of over here.
LEG 7 (France --> The Netherlands) EPISODE REVIEWDrink: Dutch hot chocolate
So we started off with inconsistent appearances by teams either riding in a taxi, loitering at the train station, or simply fallen behind like Denise & James Earl in their 19th attempt at the previous Detour. Off to Rotterdam via Centraal Station, editing gets their butt back on track on the way to the flashy, bright red ship. After another awful awakening at an aours aof aperation (atrocious alliteration attempt), teams were jet-boated to Kinderdijk, which Chris's original pronunciation wasn't censored

.
ROADBLOCK: (Who wants to Gogh windmilling?)
I loved that this task had an interesting scenery complementing sunflowers instead of a museum. Though, I wish the paintings were more detail-oriented like detecting the appropriate color scheme for the flowers too. Would have loved to see teams freaking out over the long distances and seemingly an easy task.
ROADBLOCK SCORE: 8.8/10
After advertising the FitBit some more by delivering tulips to a flower girl, yada yada yada, everyone went to Nolet Distillery to finely dine on their next Detour.
DETOUR: (Double Hull Frenzy or Double Dutch Mayhem)
I thought these were fairly interesting options. Both required a moderate level of focus to complete either. I totally understood why only Tiffany & Krista chose the jump ropes and appeared to finish rather quickly so the "imbalance" won't count as a deduction by me. The vessel simulation was hectic and strict with time which left teams barely pass it. As for creativity, I liked the uniqueness of the double dutch game, but the travel simulation task is a been there, done that occasion (TAR19 Atlanta finale).
DETOUR SCORE: 9/10
In the end, The Hague/"Hagoo" eliminated one of the teams with the most navigational errors made in one season. This will serve as a lesson to all teams: Don't overthink! Read your clue too. I'm going to finish my warm chocolate now. Still love Cindy & Rick though. All the teams need to really chill right now (or be prescribed with some of Dustin & Kandice's leftover happy pills for Lyn.)
OVERALL: 8.9/10
