I like this little tradition of not having the starting line and the first leg in the same province. I do agree they could use that to create a bit of difference between the teams, like not having them all on the same flight, or juste 2 flights landing close. The best would be like 3 flights landing 1h appart, but it's a bit unrealistic.

That's actually always been one of my least favorite aspects of some of the international versions
The show is about travel, and to have a full leg in the place you start essentially takes that opportunity away from one of the teams- unless you make leg 1 an NEL.
I say that the first leg should always have some sort of flight/long distance travel aspect to it.

I don't know if this is the right place to post, but here goes:
Interesting things I notice recently:
Every single British Columbia leg has a been a elimination leg
Every Quebec leg (excluding the two finale) has been a non-elimination leg (S1 quebec city leg, S2 Montreal leg, S3 Madeleine Island leg, s5 Ottawa-Gatineau leg)
