Sadly, for several reasons, I can't see them having a stop in the U.S.
If they wanted to honour Canadian heroes of 9/11, the first place I think of isn't in the U.S. at all. It's Gander, Newfoundland who took in thousands of U.S. travelers when planes were diverted from U.S.

Very good point!
I think it's a good idea to look at 'heroic' destination, but I feel like these locations will be base on the occupation of the teams selected.
What I mean is if they got several auditions of firefighter teams, and they know they will probably pick one, then they may have a challenge or location base on firefighters (the best exemple would have been last year's Fort Mcmurray leg). Maybe another task related to the Mountain Police, famous doctor related task, etc.
As for teams, I feel like we will have:
- Army related team (Air force, or marine force, or whatever)
- Law enforcement
- Teachers
- Medical team (doctor, nurses)
- LOTS of inspirational for the community teams (strong members of minority communities, ala LGBT, racial minorities religious minorities)
- Strong stay at home mom's or single parents
WindsorSue:
100% agree.
Add to your list a "sports" team. And you know what's starting next month - wink, wink. hahaha.

Good point! It's been 4 years we had Olympians! I guess right after the olympics is the only time they can do this. Also I would keep an eyes for family member of Olympians (like a mother or father with their athlete son/daughter, that would fit with the hero theme)
