Ya, even I am not sure about the match. A few slight differences. The big thing is just that giancarlo made the video for TARCan and this racer does look like it might be him. I would still hold it in the 'pretty sure, but not convinced until there are more pictures' file.
Giancarlo might not be racing with the guy he made the video with (Michael) and maybe that is why that video is still on youtube. just a thought.

That was my first thought when I saw that first pic, and I hope so too. I know from their actions casting was very aggressive this pre-season, (setting up impromptu "casting calls", recruitment "requests" on social media) so it's entirely possible. Of course, it is kind of hard to tell from those pics. They could also be Armenian or Middle-Eastern.
