Your Biggest TAR Pet Peeves?

What makes you cringe/annoyed? Something about the teams? World Race Productions' decisions? Anything? I'll start:

-when teams like Chester/Ephraim (TAR23) Jon/Harley (TAR26) fall so far behind and kill all suspense, but both instances saved some likeable teams imo!
-when they decide to make the first legs as linear as possible (TAR26 and basically any other recent premieres)

When non-eliminated teams have very slim chances to catch up :groan:

TAR 21 Leg 5 - a physically demanding leg.
TAR 24 Leg 9 - I remember this leg having so many random ARI's and tasks?
TAR 25 Leg 4 - hard/great challenges.

The fact that production has been cutting out all of the ugly American moments.

Granted, being an ugly American is not a good thing and people shouldn't do it, but people do still do it and I thought that it made for good television. At this point, it seems like we'll never get a repeat of TAR10 Rob yelling at his Vietnamese taxi driver, because everyone is now picture-perfect to foreigners.

At least we still have goofy American moments

Bringing back teams that don't deserve to be brought back and listening too much to the casual fans when it comes to recasting of teams. So basically TAR24 in a nutshell.

Boring all-male teams like Bates/Anthony, Chester/Ephraim,  Art/JJ, Brandon/Adam, and many more.

We need more all-male teams like Leo & Jamal, Bopper & Mark, Joey & Danny, etc.

TAR24

THIS.  :funny:
+1

The new editing. :gaah: The editors have discarded pieces of TAR tradition like Pit Starts, Phil announcing Pit Stop placements, and suspenseful music. I still can't live down "Season 18" (TAR24 ref).

Also not all teams are shown actually departing. And the new way of introducing tasks on the spot sucks.

When teams hop on the mat together with both feet. I honestly have to turn away when this happens.

Casting models, actors, semi celebrities, or any on the spot casting from SoCal. Give me some real people!

I have so many TAR Pet Peeves that I want to bitch and moan.  :gaah: :gaah: :gaah: (:;) (:;) (:;)

Route: Lackluster route like TAR21 (First half was all basically third world countries scenic leg.) and TAR24 (First 8 leg was the 4 consecutive double leg in one country).

Task: Uninspired, unbalanced, ridiculous, boring, dull or easy task like TAR16 Chile 2, TAR16 France 1 WW1 Detour, TAR18 Austria Chimney RB, TAR20 Tanzania 1 minute Jumping, TAR21 Indonesia task, TAR21 & TAR24 Spain bull task, every Switchback task so far (except My Ox is Broken switchback IMO), and more...

Cast: I have problem with the cast especially on the M/M team and M/F team.
1) Rude, Douche, or Obnoxious: Reichen & Chip, Jonathan & Victoria, BJ & Tyler, Eric & Jeremy, Globetrotters, Cowboy Jet, Louie & Michael, Art & JJ, and more...
2) Boring: David & Jeff, Kris & Jon, TK & Rachel, Toni & Dallas, Gary & Matt, Jeremy & Sandy, ...
3) Please no/less gimmick or (semi) famous celebrity/mactor into TAR, we want more normal and real people in TAR. (Eg. Linda & Karen, Oswald & Danny, Tammy & Victor, Nat & Kat, JenKisha, Chuck & Wyona, Shelly & Nici, Amy & Maya, Hayley & Blair, CJ & Lebya, Jeff & Lyda, ...)

Editing: Editing was gone down south since TAR18 or TAR19 (Background music has been cheesy & fun and not dramatic, anticlimactic editing, Pit Stop editing, TBC editing, ...)

Twist: U-Turn (Placing RIGHT before the Pit Stop or placing in the leg that U-Turned team was 100% impossible to catch up), Speedbump (90%++ was too easy, while the other was ridiculously tricky that the Speedbump team was impossible to catch up).

I'm done.
TAR25/TAR29: Modern classic season.

When a team falls behind and kills all of the suspense, that is the WORST case.
100% commitment makes everything easy
99% commitment makes everything hard

To be fair, the editing DID try to show teams extremely behind that they still had a shot no matter how small. Sure, a team really behind kills suspense, but you can't say the editors didn't even try (ignore TAR24's entirety).
