I am actually hoping for NO Philippines this season and it'll be saved for TAR26's westward route when there's more teams.   My SF > Philippines > Nepal > India > South Africa route is still possible  :yess:

lol. I guess it was only a matter of time before TARUS used TARA tasks.

Imagine the Save being wasted like Double Your Money tbh

I wouldn't be surprised.  lol Will definitely be interesting to see how it works though, like the rules and all.  Do they have to play it before they know they're last or is it like a free pass that they hand over when they are told they are in last?

Amy & Maya <3

So does this mean Leg 3 was a (potential) NEL?
I think that Leg 3 was a NEL/KOR b/c all teams (except for Lisa/Michelle and Dennis/Isabelle) were either spotted in Copenhagen or later on in the Race.

No, Kym & Alli and Michael & Scott were not seen in Denmark or Sweden or any of the countries visited after those two

If there are 12 legs this season and a SAVE... maybe there are only 2 non elimination legs?? see the SAVE is whats confusing me ???

the Save has to be used on an elimination leg, which is what led some of us to believe that the next to last team would be eliminated on the same leg as the Save is used if the team holding it needs to use it.

Im thinking the save will be like the immunity idol in survivor. Phil will ask before telling the team their position if they wanna use the save. If they come last and it is supposed to be an elimination, they will make it a nel and the next leg a double elimination leg. However, if the next leg is supposed to be a nel, only one team will be eliminated, and the second to last team will receive the normal penalty for next leg. I hope it could be like this. Also, I really hope they get rid of the speed bumps and bring back 30 minute penalty

For me, I think if the Save is used in an elimination leg, then if the next leg is a non-elimination then it'll be an elimination leg or if the next leg is an elimination leg too then it'll be a double-elimination leg.

If one read either of the interviews posted this week about the behind the scenes planning for TAR each season, you;ll realize that they don't shift the NELs, those legs are pre-determined, and for a very good reason -- they have to know how many teams are racing on each leg, so they can properly prep the tasks and clues for the succeeding leg(s). Because the Save can be used in any elimination leg up to the ninth leg, it complicates planning to have to be prepared for an additional team on any one leg until the Save is out of play. It's much simpler from a production viewpoint to just have it work so that the Save causes the next-to-last team to be eliminated on the leg on which it is used so that this production complication does not take place. Teams will know which team has the Save, and where that team ordinal placement is in relation to the other teams, so late checking-in teams should be aware of the chance of the Save being used.

I don't think that's fair, having a chance of elimination even though you didn't placed last. I still thing it's going to be the double elimination if it happens, so production would just end up setting legs as if one more team is racing up until the 10th leg (if the Save is used on the 9th leg).

If the Save users land last on a NEL/KR leg or a Double-length leg midpoint, things would proceed as usual. If they land on an elimination leg, the next leg would be a double-elimination. If they used it while not in last, life goes on. :) I hope that's how it's played out. :(

I think whenever TAR returns to the Philippines, it would have to be 2 legs.

And it appears after Singapore, there should only be one Leg.  I would bitch and moan so much if the Philippines ends up being ONLY the penultimate Leg.   :'(

I think this is still the Final 5 TBH, but it's a good Final Four so far! Throw in one of the missing F/Fs and I am happy!

I get the feeling that this may be the penultimate leg personally. I feel there is time between Malta and Singapore for a KOR leg personally but that's only my opinion.

I don't think we have time for two separate Singapore legs, aryanisetiawan :) Teams were in Malta on 15 June and went off the radar for 3 days before cropping up in Singapore on 18 June. Unless the leg occurred between 15-18 June.

I L-O-V-E the teams remaining. I also like that Keith & Whitney are most likely out. I bet they were eliminated because of her :funny: please don't ever cast again invisible people from other reality shows
