I think there is a big twist this season. It's kind of a pattern with the two big returning teams seasons.
Season 11 (All-Stars): Elimination Station
Season 18 (Unfinished Buisness): Phil's Video Diary
Season 24 (Redemption??) : Elimination Station again?

This isn't a live sighting, but there is a very serious wind storm causing high winds and flooding in a good part of western Europe including Great Britain and Ireland, and apparently centered on the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark.

Not knowing what route or flights may have been planned by production at this stage of the Race, it is possible alternate legs or routes may have had to be used since this storm would impact rail, highway and air routes throughout much of Europe.

And there's another storm in the eastern Atlantic that already has winds exceeding gale force up to 60 mph near the Azores and expected to head towards Europe, and which may become a subtropical or tropical storm before then.

There's no certainty about whether either storm system is having an impact on filming, but it is something to be aware of.

Continuing the storm report..........there is 1.5 inches of ICE on the ground and everything else here in Dallas........storm is moving to the east. Temps are expected to remain below the freezing point till Monday afternoon.......Freezing rain is still falling at this time.

It will certainly be interesting to see where they are trying to end up in the US.

Power outages have affected 250,000 customers in Dallas/FtWorth metropolitian area.............figure 3 people per customer and means about 3/4 of a million people without power. DFW Airport is basically shut down. Airport officials handed out 3,000 cots last night for stranded passengers. All hotels are fully booked in airport area.

I certainly hope it's not anywhere in Texas! We've had sleet and icy conditions here in Austin. Possibly more to come.

Here in the midwest that system came through earlier this week and brought dense fog for a couple of days, with a slight amount of freezing drizzle, and then replaced with arctic cold temperatures starting yesterday and is expected to continue through the coming week; we're also expecting our first real snowfall of the season this weekend (Sunday) to ho go with the temperatures with lows dropping to zero or just below in F.

The system bringing the ice storm to the central US and severe t-storms and heavy snow to the central and eastern US now will be followed by another storm coming ashore in California, and that is the one that will bring the snow to the central US later this weekend, and that one will move to the east coast by the beginning of the coming work week.

I don't think there been another edition of the Race that was actually affected by so much severe weather since the Family Edition (season 8, with several landfalling hurricanes in 2005) was filmed as this one has faced and is potentially facing during this fortnight.

If by any chance Dallas was Plan A for a finale.....they better be working on Plan B. 1500+ flights cancelled at DFW airport today.

Based upon the obvious hint in the live sightings threads, be aware of the following in terms of the weather.
The final city weather is currently at 37 F with clear sky. However, a winter weather advisory will be in effect by (Saturday) morning in the surrounding areas, and there is a 70 percent chance of rain or snow tomorrow with the forecast morning low of 30 and a high late tomorrow of 43. That could lead to periods of icing on roadways and surfaces.

Just passing it on, just in case. It's the first time I can ever remember that weather was a potential issue in the final city.

Based on Peach's post it is likely that teams arrived on BA flight 275 arriving from London at 6:55 (scheduled 6:25). Idk if team flew directly from London or the flight was part of a connection.

I've been trying to monitor twitter, but am not seeing anything yet. I'm wondering if we're waiting for the teams to clear customs at the airport.

I think the cowboys, dave and connor and leo & jamal make the final 3 (just a prediction). And I hate that three male teams get into the final leg  :cmas10, but whatever, I don't care who will win the race  :cmas5. I have enough fun with all the speculation and discussion in here  :cmas27. So, hoping for a great finale!  :cmas9

(P.D: but if brenchel made into the final, I would love to see them win  :cmas16)

TAR 21 wasn't planned as a full nighttime final leg, as the current one seems to be. The final task took the teams so long, it ended well after sunset.

Because of the late fall/early winter in U.S. cities, the sunrise for Las Vegas in December 7th is 6:39 a.m. while sunset is at 4:26 pm. There a might chance for a midday final leg.

Could the missing legs between Rome and Seville have been a Keep-on-racing/Zero-hour-pitstop....but with a U-Turn attached to the 2nd leg? [We've had one of these on TAR 23.] Plus, a KOR/ZHP hasn't been confirmed so far this season and TAR has liked to use them in recent seasons.

As for the possible night leg in Vegas, the weather might account for no good sightings. I don't think tourists are gonna be out on The Strip for long in 35-degree temps lol....especially on a Friday night.

Not really any difference. Depends on what you want to call it.
