At Borobudur? We have sightings of teams leaving JOG 6/25 Indonesian time using Indonesian Air asia JOG>>Jakarta arr 145 PM. We have airport sightings in Jakarta, with "overheard" asking for Bangkok.
All the Jo-burg spec is based totally on nothing more than some of us wanting to see a TAR 1 LEG 1 redo to celebrate the 10 year TAR anniversary.
There is NO evidence for Jo-burg beyond that that I am aware of.
Africa is nearly a certainty, but Jo-burg was just a dream.
Now is the time for everyone to look hard. Twitter and FB can help, but so can searching blogs, and all the major photo sites. With all of us looking, they will reappear!!
Peach, you said that an extended pit stop was unlikely, yet it has happened. My Johannesburg idea is pure speculation, but it is based on solid logic:
1. It will take teams still in AR19 a combination of 2 flights to get to either Kuala Lumpur or Singapore.
2. From there they could go elsewhere in Asia (but I don't expect to see that), r directly to Europe (but I think it is too soon for that). That leaves Africa.
3. Having already flown 2 flight segments, although all of Africa is theoretically possible, I think it is most likely that teams would go to somewhere that is nonstop from Kuala Lumpur or Singapore. That would be Johannesburg on MH203 or SQ478 or Cairo on SQ492.
4. MH203 departed at 0100 on Saturday 25June but does not fly on Sunday 26 June, so that is out. The flight to Cairo is on the books in one system, but another that I trust totally says no such flight for 26June. Only SQ478 Singapore dep. Sunday 26June 0200 arriving Monday 0700 is a real possibility.
