There's no way to absolutely know what position you are, so you have to do your best no matter what leg it is.
But I've seen people try to throw the third leg on fantasy races before. :snicker:

They may choose not to take the Fast Forward mission if there is one in Leg 3. :cmaslol

Unlike Survivor there is absolutely no strategy in throwing any leg /challenge on the Race.
