The Speedbump task ONLY comes first for G/M. For ALL the rest of the teams, the Roadblock is the first task. They certainly don't wait around for G/M to do this.

Also, G/M are behind. The start the speedbump after most (all?) of the others have set off on the RB.

I think technically, the Speedbump should have come first but because Gary and Mallory were the last to reach, that's why we got the RB first.. so i think RB should be the correct answer too.

I am going to have to go a review previous seasons on that issue.

I am pretty sure it came up in season 16 with the last speedbump.

While racers got to the roadblock aspect of the race before Gary & Mallory got to the speedbump, doesn't change that the speedbump is an activity that occurs before the Roadblock, its just that only one team has to do it.

I'am leaning on both answers.  Because for the course Speed bump is first, and we know this based off the foottage that Gary & mallory can't to the Roadblock first, because its actually 2nd.  But in terms of chronology of the footage its shown 2nd.

Edit: Since G/M had to perform the Speed Bump prior to the Roadblock, that means the Speed Bump appeared first.

We saw the Roadblock cluebox, teams opening the RB clue, as well as Phil introducing the RB before teams mentioned that Gary/Mallory's SB was there was well...?

Why don't we consider the first envelope they took at pit start as the first Route Info and go with that as being first?

If we see (for example) Zev holding the clue that contains the Detour, but we don't see him pull it out of the cluebox, what happens? Would the last option cover that?

I think if it's obvious that Zev and Justin are the first team there and the only ones to reach the Cluebox first, if the scene of them taking a clue out of the cluebox first was omitted and the next shot of them shows them with the clue, then i think there will be 2 answers. One which is the team member who took the Detour clue first and second, we do not see the first team take the clue from the cluebox.

But if it's a rush, like in the China Leg 1 where we had so many teams rushing for the Roadblock clue and no placements or whatsoever.. then i think the we do not see the first team take the clue from the cluebox option is valid...

Hard to explain :lol: :lol: :lol: But we'll know when the episode is shown.

If we see zev & justin rush to the box (clearly there by themselves) and then switch to us seeing Justin with the clue.  Well then the answer would be

We don't see the first team take a clue from the cluebox
