TERMS (this will be updated tomorrow):

Bald Snark:  Named after the utterly adorable brother team of Ken & GErard who on occasion would start a detour then change their mind and perform the other one (sometimes more then once an episode).

Route Marker:  General Clue giving instructions (or hints) about getting from point A to Point B.

An Active Route Marker:  A general clue giving instructions (or hints) about getting from Point A to Point B, but one that also requires teams to perform a task before the receive their clue.

SOme of these have included drinking a large boot of beer, or in the first episode (or if you are the Cowboys the 2nd) sailing a boat out in the harbor to receive a clue.

yes that is usually a regular route marker.

good point I included that option in case we saw evidnce of a speedbump, like the sign or a clue, but never saw the task or heard them talk about it.

Kind of like in earlier seasons we have seen evidence of yields and fast forwards that weren't used or talked about.

But since I didn't clarify, I am going to count it.  Bonus pt for G-Man.

My brain cells may be destroyed along with others, but who is "Speedy Gonzales"?  I don't see her listed as any of the contestents.  By the way the original Speedy Gonzales was a male and always ended up in the middle.

Jaime of Jaime & Cara (for their car accident).  I was going to use some more modern Game reference (but then I thought half of the people here would go who?  I also thought of Evel Knievel, but figured the other half wouldn't know who that was.  So poor old Speedy (I should have saved him for a spanish leg when everyone uses his quotes not knowing what it means).

And I did adjust the score of the game on the game page, but I am too lazy to adjust it here.  2 players gained 5 pts, and I assume G-Man gained 6 (1 extra for the correction).

Mswood:  How are you going to score questions 13, 16, and 21?  We never do see if Mel and Mike ACTUALLY complete the detour.  Do they go back after warming up in the van to find the frog? Or do they get driven to the pit stop without completing the mud bath.  Your call.

Crapola. I didn't think M&M would get to the MAT.

I didn't either....

But several teams that have been unable to finish a task (for whatever reason) have gone to the Pit Stop.  It goes back all the way to the first season.

Its funny I deliberately made this weeks a little easier then last week, and what happens I did terrible.....

Though it really doesn't make much difference, since he was there a day earlier. But it looks like from his diary, that Phil went to the Detour first, then the roadblock. The Pit Stop is very close to the RB relatively speaking. GE says it is almost a 2 hour drive from the Detour to the Pit Stop mat in Perry Park. That probably explains why they had Mel/Mike drive to the mat. It saves time and then Phil can get to the airport to fly to Lijiang.

I did really bad this week. I was counting to Mel and Mike not to reach the mat and from there all went downhill.
Thank God we don't get eliminated in this game like Joab's.

I need to look at your actual wording...but I don't think M&M could have been checked in at the mat. They failed to complete the task, were taken by production to the mat where they were eliminated...but I am not yet convinced they were "checked in".
