puddin:
:;>) :;>) Congatulations to both..Fantasia & Diana...
CindiLou:
Boy Puddin, you are FAST! I watched tonight even though I haven't been following along much. It is always fun and exciting. I couldn't believe all the celebrities that were there. Wow!
I am sure Diana DeGarmo will do well also.
pittgirl:
Sooooooooooooooooooo Dissappointed!!!!!
I am thinking about what amikino said in another post....
--- Quote ---Fantasia is 19 and hasn't exactly demonstrated sound judgement up to this point.
--- End quote ---
She is not an idol for the people who are her fans which are probobly teenage girls. She had a baby at 16 and I know mistakes happen but if i had a child, that isnt the kind of role model I would want my daughter to have. I know people like her now but I think she is going to have the same impact on america that Macy Gray had.... A ONE HIT WONDER, Maybe 2 if she is lucky. I know that if I ever hear the new song I believe on my radio, it will be turned off instantly. i have never been so dissappointed in a reality show!
I cant wait til the other idols release stuff on thier own, I know it will beat Fantasia's record sales!
amikino:
When I heard Kelly Clarkson and Ruben Studdard sing last night, I realised that neither Fantasia or Diana were in the same league as them. Fantasia can emote like the dickens and when you are actually watching her sing, that makes the performance seem great. But let's see how that translates to the radio waves or the CD listened to at home. For her sake, I'm hopeful that she will prove me wrong.

NEWS & GOSSIP DAILY DOSE
In The News
ALL IS RIGHT WITH THE WORLD: With a record 65 million votes cast,
gospel-tinged soul diva Fantasia "Bobo" Barrino edged out the perpetually
perky Diana DeGarmo to win American Idol Wednesday night. The 19-year-old
single mom from High Point, N.C., collapsed in DeGarmo's arms the moment
Ryan Seacrest called out her name. "I always said I've been through some
things, but I've worked hard to get where I'm at," she sobbed to the
"star-studded" audience that included Fonzie, Nicole Richie and Paula
Abdul's breasts. Fantasia follows in the footsteps of previous Idol
title-holders Kelly Clarkson and Clay Aik..., er, I mean Ruben Studdard. Her
first single, the Tamyra Gray-penned track "I Believe," will hit stores next
week and, if all goes according to plan, will become the new leading cause
of suicide in the United States by year's end. For more Idol dish, read
Daniel R. Coleridge's post-victory interview with Bobo and Damian Holbrook's
Watercooler commentary.
