--- Quote from: Dutch Samadhi on August 01, 2009, 08:58:04 AM ---They raced the Netherlands on the 29th just after they returned. I saw it happen.

Wait! Don't you mean Thursday the 30th?
Here is your post from another thread:
--- Quote ---I've heard people saying they came from Schiphol on the very morning that the event took place so on thursday they would have arrived.
Again Good luck

Chateau d If:
I can't find any flights that would arrive early enough for the teams to make the 2 hour drive to Vierhuizen by 9 am.
Maybe they arrived the night before at Schiphol Airport and had to wait for the "garage to open" at 6 AM. That would explain why we see 5 cars there with an expected 6th car to arrive shortly. And a helicopter in the air. It would be a bunch point that sets up the teams for multi-team shots on the bikes.
So Ericka and Brian got lost on the way to the windmill? I hope they can dance well with wooden shoes!

Chateau,
Arrival at 0505 at Schiphol doesn't do it? I would think that it does.
Chateau d If:
Well I did just find this. Don't know why I missed it the first time.
KL 428 from Dubai at 12:05 am July 30th directly to AMS landing at 5:20 am.
What did you have in mind for 5:05 am arrival, Shanghai?
But anyway, remember we have to accommodate the fact that SteffieSunrise reported the team was in Dubai, seeking flight information at about 7:50 am on the 29th . So why would they take so long to get to AMS?
apskip:
If we take Dutch Amadhi seriously, then here is a plausible (although not necessarily correct) string of hypotheses:
1. We are talking for some teams but not all starting racing in Netherlands during the day of July 29, not 30.
2. Teams that reached a 12 hour pit stop in Dubai well before noon on July 28 are the only ones that have a shot at making the 0005 flight DXB AMS. they arrive nonstop at 0520 and start transportation and tasks in the Netherlands.
3. Other teams would have access to the morning flights from Dubai to Amsterdam. That would allow a sighting on July 29 at 0750 and still making a 0925 departure to Rome (EK097 0925 1345 connecting to AZ132 FCO AMS 1445 1725) or a 0955 departure to Vienna (EK127 0955 1345 connecting to KL1846 VIE AMS 1500 1705).
