I agree with Petr, most likely crew and nice find on the T shirt Petr.
I'm jealous Chateau! What fun it must have been coaxing the image out of the negative! Take that CSI!  :jumpy:

Awesome, CSI Chateau :-)

I think this guy is TAR helper, the photographer was testing if camera works properly. He wears this tee.

I salute you!  :jumpy:

Day 1 in Phnom Penh (7/25/09)

We spent much the of the afternoon walking around the city. We visited the King's Royal Palace which was spectacular. While waiting in line to enter, a bunch of Americans and video cameras ran through the crowd towards the palace. While everyone was baffled, I had to explain that they were filming an episode of the American tv program the Amazing Race. While Susan and I were getting tickets, one of the teams cut us to request their money back (they were apparently at the wrong place)

OK now I'm being creeped out. :snicker:

Any kidnapped or missing kids that we need to find?

Now what could be mistaken for the Royal Palace? Raffles Hotel Le Royal?

Well I was able to coax some images out of those two polaroid liners that I found at the Startline in the LA River..

I had to razor-blade scrape an encrustation of goo off the negatives.  I put each negative into a petri dish of isopropyl alcohol.  That helped to soften the goo.  But it also softened the image layer as well.

So I found myself somewhere between revealing and erasing the image.

This is the second polaroid.  I decided to just look at it through the IPA.

I am so very impressed with your findings!  Well done!

She may be unreachable tonight...we'll see. Too bad it isn't clear where she is.

I like the skydiver instructors though.

Unless CBS is faux-tweeting.

If she is posting from Dubai then the timing (7:50 am on July 29th) suggests an  Extended Pit Stop for Dubai.

There are flights from Dubai to:

Perth   EK424 leaving at 10:05 am
Melbourne  EK406 leaving at 10:10 am
Sydney    EK412 leaving at 10:15 am
Brisbane   EK434  leaving at 10:25 am

And that's it for rest of the day!

So I think she did post from Dubai.

Couple could be men as well, we've had teams described as couples before when they were male/male female/female. I'm thinking the guys in red?

Nice map Neobie. With the Bali spec, could it be possible they're doing a Great Circle route ala TAR 7?

US --> Japan --> somewhere (Japan again?) --> Vietnam --> Cambodia --> Dubai --> Australia (?) --> Indonesia (?) --> South America/Africa (?) --> Europe (?) --> US

ETA: Australia has not been confirmed. I thought it was since Chateau posted flights. Sorry. :-[

Sydney    EK412 leaving at 10:15 am
Brisbane   EK434  leaving at 10:25 am

And that's it for rest of the day!

So I think she did post from Dubai.

And there are flights leaving Dubai from 8am to 12pm going west, southwest or northwest to:

Paris CDG -2
Frankfurt
Entebbe
Malta
CapeTown
Munich
Zurich
Dusseldorf
Cairo
Hamburg
Tripoli
Milan MXP
London LHR -4
Rome FCO
Moscow
Venice
Vienna
Athens
Johannesburg
Nairobi
DarEsSalaam
Alexandria
Istanbul

those are 27 places where AR15 coudl have flown nonstop to Europe or Africa. My favorite(even though its probability is obviously less than 4%) is Istanbul because Amazing Race 7 has the only prior visit to Istanbul (except for occasional airport connections which don't count in my judgment). Istanbul is overdue. We'll see if my 4% bet has any validity.

I think the probability of teams going backwards to Australia or to anywhere else to the northeast, east of southeast in Asia are slim at best.
