TARAsia Fan:
Meaning TAR has a loyal fan base. CBS knows this. I think this is good news for definitely one season. Two cycles could be in the cards as well.

mswood:
Yeah I don't think we have any worries at all about getting at least one cycle.  And hell I can't believe how much we held this week.  If we can maintain over 10 million and stay near 3.0 in the demo, I think we are solid for two cycles.

Even with CBS in general doing fairly well this year.

TARAsia Fan:
Very true, mswood. Even against the Fox powerhouse of American Idol, CBS is holding its own. The Sunday night lineup is fairing well in the overall numbers, despite skewing older. The Monday night comedies are a good alternative to "Dancing with the non-Stars" and the network does well on other nights as well.

But as far as TAR is concerned, the fact that it's taking applications for 15 is a good sign. We should know at the upfronts whether CBS will give the show two cycles for the next season. If I were a betting man, I would say chances are pretty decent.

Updated with more info

Final numbers are out for this week.

TAR managed a 10.128 million total viewers and a 3.1 in adults 18-49 (the best for CBS that night) and a 6.1/10 Household 2.1 in adults 18-34(best for CBS that night), and a 3.8 in adults 25-54 (2nd best of the night for CBS, Cold Case got a 3.9).

We also won the full hour in total viewers, adults 18-49 (though Simpsons won its half hour), and adults 25-54.

We ranked 17th out of all CBS shows and 27th for all networks.

And here is the kicker.

We ranked higher in total viewers then every single NBC program (God NBC is in such pathetic shape).

We ranked higher then all but 5 programs on Fox (3 of them being American Idol).

We ranked higher then all but 6 programs on ABC (3 of them being the Bachelor, WTF!!!)

THats how well CBS is doing, in comparison to the other networks.

And CBS is in money problems, and they have cut the number of pilots that they were going to film (a good sign that much of CBS schedule is going to stay).
