My guess was listed here, but it was only a guess; the Matten cowbellers could have been trucked to another spot. Maybe the TOI-Interlaken people thumbed through their rolodex and called the Matten TrychlerClub: "Grab your bells and head up the mountain to farmer john's cottage tomorrow morning." The only reason I chose that patch of ground is the steep slope which lands at city-level (the trychler cap), and the cottage near the bottom of the slope.
What do you think the high wire fence is for in the pic below? It seems too high just to keep animals fenced in, even high jumpers like deer. Could it be the edge of a tennis court or some other sports ground? Could it help identify the area in google earth at all?
And there are at least 3 buildings we can identify.
The white one in the picture above that the bell ringers are standing in front of,
the one at the bottom of the hill where the teams stack their cheese,
and the hut at the top of the hill where they get the cheese from also looks more permanent than something WRP would erect just for the show...
