Steven is still talking about people not accepting him. He says it's part of his life that hurts him. He had so many hurt feelings because people would not accept him only parts of him, it hurts his feelings. He realizes that he has to be the bigger person and see things as they are. (He and Dan are sitting beside the pool)

Dan says you have to get past the hurt feelings, move beyond that. Maybe over time, who knows.
