An interesting article:

Cheryl Burke: ‘You Don’t Have to be Anorexic to be Beautiful’

When bloggers called out Cheryl Burke for putting on a few pounds, the Dancing with the Stars pro fought back. But what upset her most, she says, is the unhealthy body image issues promoted by such stories.

“I want kids or women out there to realize you don’t have to be anorexic to be beautiful,” the two-time Dancing champ tells PEOPLE exclusively. “There’s a lot of pressure living this Hollywood life. People expect to see you at a certain weight and when you gain a few pounds then all of a sudden it’s the talk of the week.”

Burke, 24, says she is secure with her looks–and she advises fans to be true to themselves.

“People will always have an opinion about you, whether it’s good or it’s bad,” she says. “But most important is to have a secure feeling about yourself and know that you’re beautiful regardless of what people think of you.”

Burke, who owns her own dance studio in San Francisco, admits it’s taken years for her to learn to embrace her curves.

“When I was younger, I wasn’t stick thin. I wasn’t tall. I don’t have long legs. I wasn’t naturally skinny,” she confesses. “As I grew older, I just became more comfortable in my own skin.”

An interesting article an interview with Misty and Makism:

Dancing With the Stars Misty May-Treanor eliminated

What exactly happened to your ankle?
Misty: It was Friday night...we were doing stage rehearsal and our last run-through; we were doing the jive. I stepped back with my left foot and felt a pop and heard it. I thought I'd run into the judges' stairs. But. Karina and Rocco were there; I said to them, "Did I just run into the stairs?" I felt clumsy. They said I was far from it. So it's that feeling of getting hit from behind in your foot by a baseball bat. Then I couldn't put weight on it. I went to Cedars-Sinai and the doctor there evaluated it and said it was a ruptured Achilles tendon. And then I took an MRI.
Maksim: Yeah, I knew as soon as it happened, we actually both knew right away. We are both athletes and have been around injuries all our lives, so through both of our injuries, we can make diagnoses the second they happen. I was hoping she had popped a ligament and not her Achilles ... but she is strong and has access to the best in the field, so she will be back.

We were sad to hear you won't be able to continue.
Misty: My dancing days are over right now. At least for six months. But you know what? That gives me time to visualize and to mentally just work ...
Maksim: I am devastated and I didn't know that about myself. It's been a very emotional few days.

Had you ever had an injury like this in sports/volleyball?
Misty: You know, I've [had knee injuries before]. That was a hard process, coming back from that, but I came back from that even stronger. So I'm going to stay very disciplined in my rehab and ... this is just one of those things that you have to be patient with. You can't try to move too fast, but I feel I'm going to be okay.

Do you want to come back to the dance floor?
Misty: I do! Now that I got a taste of it. I felt this could be my breakout week, especially with the jive. We'd been working so hard. Just with the small taste I got out of it. After I get back from this, I want to take classes [and dance again].
Maksim: It would be the thing for her to do - to rehabilitate and come back the season after next. I think that would be a great story and I would be proud to be a part of that.

Maybe you could return for another season, once recovered?
Misty: If they asked me back, I would love to come back. I feel I got the short end of the stick; I felt it ended earlier than I wanted it to. If I had the opportunity to come back, I'd ask Maks to go through it with me again. I felt I was just starting to get it! I was just starting to get what my body was supposed to be doing. I'm still going to support the show. I love the show. I love what it's about. I'm going to support [the other celebrities] and now I can vote!
Maksim: This is like when you get eliminated. The only difference is it sucks! I'd rather be eliminated, so you can make your peace with it. But I have a lot of stuff to do at home that I'd have missed had I been on the show. I have a competition event in October that I can attend - which is amazing. I'll definitely be back for result shows.

An update on DWTS winner Helio:

Judge says Helio Castroneves can leave country for Australian race; modifies bail conditions

A Miami judge has agreed to modify bail conditions on tax charges so Helio Castroneves can race later this month in Australia.

The Brazilian race car driver and 2007 "Dancing With The Stars" champ had been barred from leaving the United States. A judge granted Castroneves' request Friday to travel to Brisbane, Australia so he can drive in the Oct. 26 race. Prosecutors may still appeal that order.

Castroneves was indicted last week on federal conspiracy and tax evasion charges and is free on $10 million bail. Prosecutors say Castroneves used offshore accounts to hide millions of dollars in income from the Internal Revenue Service.

Castroneves insists he is innocent and that he relied on advice from tax experts for his financial dealings.

An interesting article:

Actress Cloris Leachman's will head the 120th Tournament of Roses on Jan. 1

Cloris Leachman has been chosen as grand marshal for next year's Rose Parade.

The actress, who has an Oscar and eight Emmys, will head the 120th Tournament of Roses on Jan. 1 in Pasadena. The parade's theme is "Hats Off to Entertainment."

The 82-year-old "Dancing With the Stars" contestant said Friday she's thrilled to be grand marshal of a parade that — in her words — "is older than I am."

Leachman won an Oscar as best supporting actress for the 1971 film "The Last Picture Show"; her Emmy wins span from Mary Tyler Moore's classic sitcom in the '70s to "Malcolm in the Middle" in 2006.

An interesting article:

Can Lance and Lacey Outsmart Dancing's "Curse"?

So far this season, Lance Bass and Lacey Schwimmer are getting their Dancing groove on with solid scores and untraditional moves that are earning them kudos (and a little ire). But as Season 7 is beset by a string of injuries — from Jeff Ross' cornea scratch to Misty-May Treanor's tendon-pop — they're not taking any chances.

"The stage is cursed, we all believe it now," Schwimmer told TVGuide.com at the Respect Awards. "So we stay away from that little area by the judges," she said, referring to the perilous spot where several of the show's injuries have occurred. "Seriously," she insisted, in the face of skeptical press. "Lance and I will walk around it all funny, so it's kind of scary, but we're taking extra precautions."

Safety steps that the two are considering range from the superstitious (the pair might "light some sage and throw it in the audience a little bit," Schwimmer said) to the practical: "We're stretching [Lance]. He's not very flexible, he can hardly touch his toes, but we're really taking extra precautions with him right now."

Not even four weeks into the season, Bass and Schwimmer's tandem efforts are starting to extend well beyond the dance floor. Schwimmer was attending Friday's annual award show, presented by GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network) to support her star partner, who was honored for his commitment to the organization.

"No one should have to live a lie," Bass said, discussing his own experience coming out as a gay man. "That weight that is lifted off your shoulders, I can't even describe it." He came out to the public in July 2006.

Yet, after pre-season buzz about having a same-sex dance partner, Bass wouldn't have things any other way. "I could not even think about another partner besides Lacey. I'm the luckiest person."

For Schwimmer, meanwhile, the pair's recent made-for-TV smooch sealed the deal — at least, in jest. "You know, that's been dream of mine since I was a little girl," she laughed, "so I took advantage!"

With precautionary meaures, smooches and all, how far do you think the pair will go (in the competition, that is)?

If Lance and Lacey are lucky, they might last about 3 more rounds. However, they could get voted off anytime. Their competition is Rocco/Karina, Cody/Julianne, Susan/Tony, and the ubitquitous Cloris/Corky.

The clearly superior dancers are Brooke/Derek, Warren/Kym, Toni/Alec, and Maurice/Cheryl.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy Karina Smirnoff Kissing Photo

When they're not Dancing with the Stars, Karina Smirnoff and Maksim Chmerkovskiy are doing a steamy private tango.

As Star reports exclusively in our Oct. 20 issue — on newsstands now! — the Ukraine natives worked up a sweat on the dance floor at the ONE Sunset club in L.A. on Sept. 29.

"They were getting closer and closer until they were grinding on each other," says the eyewitness. "They were dripping with sweat; it was incredibly hot and sexy."

And things didn't stop there! It got even hotter. But you'll have to pick up the new issue of Star for the full story and four can't-miss photos!

An interesting article:

Tony Dovolani Introduces Twins Adrian and Ariana

Performing live on television each week alongside partner Susan Lucci on Dancing With the Stars, professional ballroom dancer Tony Dovolani, 35, knows how to move. However, his feet moved faster than ever after receiving the call from wife Lina, then 39 weeks into her pregnancy with fraternal twins. It was time! Adrian Driton and Ariana arrived in the early morning hours of September 8th, weighing in at 7 lbs and 7 lbs, 10 oz, respectively.

Tony and Lina, 27, along with 3-year-old daughter Luana, introduce the now 4-week-old twins in PEOPLE this week. Here at Celebrity Baby Blog, we have an extensive interview exclusive to us, as well as an additional photo you won't find in the magazine!

On discovering they were expecting twins:

T: Back in December, my wife and I decided we wanted to try and have another baby. In January, she started showing right away. So we were like, "Something is either wrong or we're being blessed with something more than what we planned on."

When we went to the doctor, he joked with us immediately. He said, "I know why you are getting big. You guys are about to have twins." I was very proud, of course, and he said, "You know it has everything to do with the woman?" Well, I had to be there, didn't I?

It was quite scary, exciting -- just the unknown. We've never had twins in our families, so we were very skeptical at first. What's going to happen? But at the same time we felt really blessed. To be blessed with one is a wonderful experience. To be blessed with two is even better.

On finding out the sexes of the babies:

T: We actually found out. We chose to find out because now technology gives you the opportunity to prepare for whatever comes next. And why not? You want to paint the room, you want to get yourself ready for it. All those things are so much easier when you know what you're about to have.

On preparing to welcome double the babies:

T: My wife is incredible. She was incredible with raising our first child. She gave me a thousand and one books to read.

L: He attempted to [read the books] in the beginning. He carried them with him when he was traveling. I doubt he went past 10 pages.

T: No, I'll be honest. I didn't.

On telling daughter Luana:

T: When we went to explain to Luana, we couldn't quite understand how to do it. She was 2 ˝ at the time. Shortly after that, she started picking up on it. She started kissing Lina's stomach all the time, kissing the babies. We kept making sure she understood there would be two. We got her a couple of dolls to play with so we could prepare her.

On the pregnancy:

L: It was definitely different from being pregnant with a single baby. So different. Up until about six months, it's normal except you grow a lot faster. At six months, you feel like you're at nine months. I was pretty strong. But you can't sleep. It's a mission just to wash dishes or get dressed in the morning. It's unbelievable pressure.

T: From my point of view, it was incredible. I thought she handled it really beautifully. I found her to be even more beautiful during the pregnancy. The way she handled it was amazing. Even up to the last second, she was walking around. She doesn't know the word rest!

L: He did a great job with Luana all summer -- keeping her busy and active. I really couldn't lift her or lug her around.

T: Believe it or not, our due date for the twins was September 16th, but twins normally come anywhere from 36 weeks to 38 weeks. We were at 39 weeks. We were right there. The doctor said, "You might be going for the long haul."

On the labor and delivery of the twins:

T: I was in the middle of rehearsal with Susan in Westhampton, NY, and I got a phone call from Lina saying, "I might be going into labor soon." I hung up the phone ... and Susan looks at me and says, "What are you waiting for? Put your shoes on and leave."

She is such a class act. I'm so lucky to get her as my partner. To have someone of such stature -- she's the queen of daytime -- and to be as nice as she is is a double whammy. She was like, "Leave right away and text me to let me know what happens."

I took the car and luckily that day there was no traffic. I got home and helped Lina out, preparing for going to the hospital. The nurses and doctors were unbelievably helpful. They were excited for twins. In fact, one of the nurses had to go home, and she came back to make sure that we were okay. That's how nice the Bridgeport, Conn. hospital staff was.

The doctors gave Lina an epidural to relax her. She slept until 2 a.m. At 3 a.m., they woke me up. Her water broke. Because twins can be high risk, they took us to the operating room just to make sure, in case they had to do a cesarean. They didn't have to luckily for us, it was a [vaginal] delivery.

Lina was a trouper. She was like, "I want these babies out and safe. Let's go." The doctor wasn't even ready. At 3:14 a.m. the boy was born, 3:28 a.m. the girl was born. It was that quick. I was there for her -- as much as I could. What a surreal moment to see your children come into this world. You see them breathe for the first time.

On holding the babies for the first time:

T: I held Adrian first. You hold them and I just hope that everyone is blessed enough to experience those moments in their life. Those moments are precious. For me, in moments like that, I get calm. When there's panic going on or something that requires adrenaline to pump in, I normally get calm. I don't know why. It's my performing thing. When I dance on DWTS or in my competitions I get nervous up to a point, but once I am there I am calm.

On Adrian and Ariana's looks and personalities:

T: It's funny. At birth, the boy came out and was just like, "Let me sleep." He was cool, calm -- almost like he matched my energy. The girl was kicking the doctor like, "I'm not ready. I'll come out when I'm ready." She was a little more lively. She cried a little bit at the beginning. Adrian is like an old soul. He's content with everything.

L: Yet, he detects his surroundings so quickly. He's quick to react to everything. He wants to be held a lot too.

T: He's very sensitive. He hates being changed. He doesn't like being naked. He's a
private guy.

L: He's more reactive. She's calm and chill. You can tell he gets angry.

T: He gets all red. She's easygoing. She also smiles more. He frowns a little bit. I wonder where he gets that from. [laughs]

L: He has Tony's eyebrows.

T: Poor guy. The boy definitely looks like me. He's even got sideburns. Unfortunately, he even kind of acts like me. I don't like being disturbed too much. I don't like being cold. Ariana is funny. She knows that she's cute and she works it.

L: Everyone melts when they see her. She's like a princess. She's just there, "Oh change me, feed me."

T: "Take care of me." I'm going to have a problem with her. With both of the girls. They're both beautiful.

On how the twins are alike:

L: They hiccup alike and at the same time. They [interact] ... they wiggle themselves towards each other. When one grunts, the other one grunts. They sleep next to each other and if they're apart, they wiggle towards each other.

T: One night we put them like a foot apart and within seconds they were next to each other. They do smile alike too. They sleep the same. They put their hands up. What's great is they both have different personalities.

On choosing their children's names:

T: We chose Adrian and Ariana because I'm Albanian. We're from Kosovo. Our ancestors were part of the Illyrian empire. I know my history really well, that's something I hang on to. I think we are who we are today because of where we came from. Those particular names are close to my heart -- Adrian and Ariana are some of the oldest Illyrian names. Adrian as in Adriatic Sea. As Albanians we celebrate everything through men and women -- I had to give them both powerful names.

His middle name is my real name, which is Driton. That's my actual name. My nickname has been Tony forever. Ariana does not have a middle name because Luana doesn't have a middle name. We weren't going to be biased! We chose Luana because I knew a dancer with the name. I said, "If you don't mind, if I have a daughter I will name her Luana." In Albanian, that means lioness. She owns her name. She is definitely a lioness. She will do what she wants to do. She has a lot of power and energy.

On Luana as a big sister:

T: Since the moment they came home she has been an incredible big sister. When I come home we have this ritual where we have a kissing fest for 15 minutes -- she's definitely Daddy's little girl. She has me wrapped around her finger. Now she takes me by the hand and goes, "Let's go kiss the baby girl and baby boy." At the end, she finishes up with, "Kiss Mommy now." It's a little longer now and I'm enjoying every moment of it.

L: She loves to feed them. She tickles their feet. She thinks they are her little dolls.

T: She is always kissing them. As parents, we discussed how we're going to be extensively. Especially when there is a lot of family around, they're going to make a big deal out of the babies. You can't fault them. So what I would do is every time someone made a big deal about the babies, I would make a big deal out of Luana...

On advice they've received:

T: The best advice I got was from Adam Corolla [who was on DWTS last season and is dad to twins Natalia and Santino, 2]. When he found out we were having twins, he pulled me aside and goes, "Forget listening to everyone and reading everything, just experience it the way you want to. It's the most beautiful thing you could ever experience in your life. Don't base it on other people's experience, create your own."

Everyone has been incredible. The first phone call I got was from Maks [Chmerkovskiy]. He's funny. He said, "Congratulations. Now stop!"

On the biggest surprise since the birth of the twins:

T: The biggest surprise for me is the way my wife has gone through it. I thought this would be much more difficult.

L: That's surprising to me. It's not that bad! When I saw that we were having twins, I was worried. He's away a lot of the time. I wondered if I could handle this. It's been great so far. I know it will be hard. But the biggest surprise is that I feel so great.

T: Everyone talks about the negatives, the lack of sleep -- it's very rare that you hear people talk about what a beautiful experience it is. I find it to be an incredibly beautiful experience. They're just precious. The lack of sleep is worth it. It doesn't compare to the satisfaction you get out of just seeing them and hanging out with them.

On balancing parenthood with Tony's Dancing With the Stars schedule:

L: I'm trying to hold off [on] hiring anyone. I'm trying to be strong and be like, "I can do this." Thankfully we have big families so we have people who can help us out with the kids. Tony will be gone four days out of the week. For those four days, I will have my mom, one of my siblings or one of Tony's siblings.

T: We're lucky. Her mom and sister have been here helping out -- even through the pregnancy. [With Dancing,] I leave Saturday [for California] and come back Wednesday morning on the red eye. Then we'll be home all day. Give Luana as much attention as possible. All you have to do is just be there -- watch a cartoon or play horse-y. Take her out for a bike ride. Those simple things are more important than anyone else.

I'm very excited that Luana is interested in dancing. To me, that is the greatest thing. She's taking after me. As far as teaching the twins, teaching them to be dance partners. That would be something. I'm almost sure the girl is going to have better rhythm. She just seems more in that sense.

L: But if Adrian looks like you, he might take after you.

T: I try to keep [work and home] separate. Although my daughter is going to make it difficult. She wants to dance.

L: It's the last thing he wants to do when he gets home!

T: I'm going to use every excuse possible not to work when I'm home!

An interesting article:

Drew Lachey's DWTS Predictions

As the season two winnner of Dancing With the Stars, Drew Lachey certainly knows his rumba from his tango. But who does he think will come out on top this time around?

"Right now I still personally think it’s too early," he tells OK!. "I think Warren Sapp is doing amazingly well for a man of his size, and Brooke Burke’s doing a great job. I think ultimately it’s going to come down to seeing whose personality and likeability comes out, as well as being able to move."

The busy musician, actor (he just finished a stint on Broadway in Spamalot) and dad is also no stranger to the steamy rumors that seem to swirl around every season of DWTS – one false story even linked Drew and his partner Cheryl Burke romantically, a charge that both vehemently denied.

"Honestly I think people obviously just can’t imagine that people work that close together and spend that much time together and nothing else is going on," he says. "It’s not really the hotbed of scandal that people make it out to be, it’s about the show and people working together. Obviously you build friendships, but 99 percent of the time that’s where it ends."

When he's not on the stage or the screen doing what he does best, Drew's all about his family, including his wife Lea and two-and-a-half year-old Isabella. His daughter helped inspired him to take on his latest project as spokesman for the Magical Veggie campaign, which focuses on increasing awareness about the health benefits of beans by urging fans to rewrite the old "Beans, beans, the magical fruit" chant. On Feb. 18, one winner will get to come to NYC and meet Drew.

"It’s not just talking about beans," he tells OK!, " it’s about trying to start your family and your child to have healthy eating habits from an early age on. Now is the time when they’ll try new things."

This week on Ellen:

Monday, October 13
"Dancing with the Stars'" CODY LINLEY & JULIANNE HOUGH:
Is Cody dating Cloris Leachman? He said it, not me.
Both Cody and Julianne are gonna be dancing, and afterwards there's gonna be some dunking!

Wednesday, October 15
Olympic Gold-Medalist MISTY MAY-TREANOR:
She injured her Achilles tendon, had surgery and was forced to quit "Dancing with the Stars" even though she was a frontrunner!
She was also gonna be dunked on my show last week. (Maybe I'll let her dunk someone else.)

An interesting article more on Cheryl Burke's weight:

Cheryl Burke’s Dancing Pals Speak Out in Support

After putting on a few pounds during the break and getting flak for it when Dancing With the Stars premiered its seventh season, Cheryl Burke fought back, telling PEOPLE, “You don’t have to be anorexic to be beautiful.”

Now, her friends and colleagues are speaking out in support of the two-time Dancing champ.

“That’s the one part of the Internet that I find at times to be very unsettling. It encourages this sort of cowardly unkindness,” DWTS judge Carrie Ann Inaba says. “It takes a lot of courage for people to stand tall just as they are. She is a beautiful talented girl who is a role model to many girls out there for just being who she is.”

Fellow dancer and close friend Kym Johnson says Burke, a size four, decided to draw attention to the issue to encourage people to love themselves as they are.

“Cheryl is a very level-headed girl. Obviously, [the comments] were hurtful, but she can rise above that stuff. She’s a very classy, strong woman and ultimately she didn’t let it get to her,” says Johnson, noting that neither Burke nor any of the dancers have been pressured to look a certain way. “[The show's producers] like the healthy bodies all of us dancers have. Cheryl’s body is incredible. Everybody comments on how she looks and how beautiful her body is. I found it really bizarre people were saying stuff like that.”

Burke’s season six partner, actor Cristian de la Fuente agrees.

“We live in a very plastic society where everybody needs to be a size zero. If somebody gains five pounds or ten pounds it’s not a crime,” de la Fuente says. “It’s life.”

ABC Television Network
PRESS RELEASE

DANCING WITH THE STARS, THE RESULT SHOW (10/14)

A FIFTH COUPLE TO BE ELIMINATED ON "DANCING WITH THE STARS THE RESULTS SHOW," TUESDAY, OCTOBER 14 ON ABC

Grammy Award Winner Ne-Yo Performs

Spanish Flamenco Dancers Los Vivancos Perform

Ballroom Kids Return

"Episode 704A" - After tallying the judges' and viewers' votes, the fifth couple to be eliminated from the competition is revealed, on "Dancing with the Stars the Results Show," TUESDAY, OCTOBER 14 (9:00-10:02 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Ne-Yo takes to the stage with his chart topping single, "Closer," from his third album, "Year of the Gentleman," released earlier this year.

Performing together since childhood, the world famous Spanish flamenco dancers and brothers Los Vivancos heat up the "Dancing with the Stars" stage in a sizzling and show stopping performance.

Returning to the "Dancing with the Stars" stage this season are talented ballroom dancing kids who will shake and shimmy their way into America's hearts in a live ballroom dancing competition.  This season, six ballroom couples, all 13 and under, will compete. Judges Bruno Tonioli, Len Goodman and Carrie Ann Inaba will select their favorite team of the night. That team will then return later in the season for another performance. This week two teams dance live.

By evening's end one more couple will be eliminated, as determined by a combination of the judges' scores and viewers' votes. Who among the following nine teams will leave the ballroom floor?

Lance Bass & Lacey Schwimmer
Toni Braxton & Alec Mazo
Brooke Burke & Derek Hough
Rocco DiSpirito & Karina Smirnoff
Maurice Greene & Cheryl Burke
Cloris Leachman & Corky Ballas
Cody Linley & Julianne Hough
Susan Lucci & Tony Dovolani
Warren Sapp & Kym Johnson

I enjoyed tonight's show very much.

I was so happy with Lance & Lacey's performance. Loved the costumes, the gothic aspect of their tango and they tied with Brooke & Derek with the highest scores of the evening. I am very proud of Lance.

I also loved Brooke & Derek. Brooke continues to amaze me, being a mother of four small children and at the age of 36, she just oozes of sensuality and sexiness. They will go far in the competition.

I am also pleased that Cody & Julianne did well tonight. Cody finally got serious and stopped being so goofy and if he stays serious, he could really do well and go far.

I was really surprised and very impressed with Susan & Tony tonight. Susan, at the age of 61, was phenomenal and of course I am a 30 year viewer of All My Children and love to watch her character, Erica Kane!

I think Rocco & Karina will be toast tomorrow. And Cloris & Corky will probably go next week.

Personally, I would like to see Brooke, Cody and Lance in the final 3.

Mark Ballas special appearance on SW

Mark dances with Cybill Shephard who was rumored to have been on the show.

Now we know where those rumors came from...

Here are the scores from last night:
                                                           Grand Total
                           Dance C L B Tot LW
Maurice/Cheryl   Samba 6 7 7 20 24   44
Cody/Julianne    Tango  7 8 8 23 21   44
Toni/Alec            Samba 7 7 8 22 22   44
Cloris/Corky       Tango  8 7 7 22 16   38
Rocco/Karina      Samba 6 6 6 18 20   38
Susan/Tony        Tango  8 8 8 24 21   45
Brooke/Derek     Samba 9 8 9 26 28   54
Lance/Lacey       Tango  9 8 9 26 22   48
Warren/Kym       Samba 8 7 7 22 25   47

Did you notice anything about the order of dances? It alternated Samba then Tango. I doubt that was random.

Once again, Brooke/Derek outclassed their opposition, in my opinion beating Lance/Lacey but in the judges votes it was even for last night. The 2 week total(what applies to this week's results) had Brooke/Derek with a huge lead over Lance/Lacey and Warren/Kym. Cloris stunned the judges and got a 8 out of CarrieAnn. Rocco stunned the judges in the opposite manner by doing too much fun at the expense of pure dancing. That brings Rocco and Cloris into the same total of 38. With all other teams at least 6 points higher, I think Rocco's time on this show can now be measured in hours. Cloris will last at least one more week due to her popular support and she earned it.

Monday's Most-Watched TV Program for the 4th Week Running, ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" Wins its Time Slot in Viewers and Key Women

"Samantha Who?" Season Premiere Leads its Half-Hour in Total Viewers, Topping its CBS Comedy Competition and Besting Last May's Season Finale

"Boston Legal" Outperforms NBC's Highly Promoted Series Debut of "My Own Worst Enemy" by 12% in Total Viewers
Monday Night (8:00-11:00 p.m.)

For the 4th week in a row, ABC stood as Monday's most-watched network, defeating its nearest competitor (CBS) by 2.0 million viewers (13.5 million vs. 11.5 million).  ABC also ranked No. 1 for the 4th straight week among Women 18-49 (4.5/11-tied) and Women 25-54 (5.7/13).

"Dancing with the Stars" (8:00-9:30 p.m.)
Monday's most-watched program for the 4th week running, ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" won its time slot, beating second-place CBS by 6.7 million viewers (17.7 million vs. 11.0 million).  "DWTS" was also Monday's No. 1 show among Women 18-34 (4.0/10-tied) and Women 25-54 (7.1/16)

"Samantha Who?" (9:30-10:00 p.m.)
The season premiere of ABC's "Samantha Who?" led its half-hour among Total Viewers (11.7 million), Women 18-49 (4.5/10) and Women 25-54 (5.6/12).  "Samantha Who?" outdrew its comedy competition in the time-slot, CBS' "Worst Week" (9.8 million), by 1.9 million viewers.

* Also coming out of a "Dancing with the Stars" lead-in last season, "Samantha Who?" was up by 1.5 million viewers compared to its freshman season finale (10.2 million on 5/12/08).  The sophomore comedy also registered increases over last season's closer across all key men demos (M18-34/M18-49/M25-54), Teens 12-17 and Kids 2-11.

"Boston Legal" (10:00-11:00 p.m.)
ABC's "Boston Legal" outdrew NBC's highly-promoted series debut of "My Own Worst Enemy" by 12% in Total Viewers (8.2 million vs. 7.3 million).  The ABC drama also beat the NBC series among Women 25-54 (3.7/9 vs. 3.2/8).

A note about increasing DVR penetration and year-to-year rating comparisons: Year-to-year rating comparisons based on the Live + Same Day data stream are distorted by the level of DVR penetration in the Nielsen sample, which has jumped up to 28% currently, from 20% at the same point in 2007.

An interesting article:

‘Dancing’ Cast Defend Cheryl Burke Over Weight Criticism

Cheryl Burke’s “Dancing With the Stars” co-stars have leapt to her defense after recent criticism over her weight emerged on Internet blogs.

“Dancing” standout Brooke Burke, whose figure is regularly under scrutiny due to her work as a model, told Access Hollywood she admires the two-time “DWTS” champ’s physique.

“I think we have a lot of pressure on us being in Hollywood,” Brooke told Access backstage at “DWTS.” “Cheryl is an example. I think she is sexy and voluptuous. I have always loved her body as feminine.”

Though several blogs have taken aim at the ballroom dancer, suggesting Cheryl has put on a significant amount of weight, Brooke thinks they should leave the pro alone.

“First of all, it’s [not] anybody’s business,” a fired-up Brooke added. “For people to nit pick when you are out there and you are a dancer and you are beautiful — and she is sexy… The most important thing [is that] a woman should feel good whatever what size she is and I think she looks hot.”

Cheryl’s fellow professional dancer, Lacey Schwimmer, who is only in her first season on “DWTS,” said she too has been on the receiving end of such personal attacks.

“Everybody gets criticized. If you are on TV, people just feel the need to attack you,” Lacey, Lance Bass’ “DWTS” partner, said. “I get called fat, I get called all these things. It honestly doesn’t matter to me. If I feel fit and I feel healthy, that’s all it really matters.”

And Cheryl subscribes to the same ideal.

“Look, I’m not Hollywood. I am not a model, OK? And I don’t want to be a size 0,” Cheryl stated. “This is my body, I feel comfortable in it and I love it. And I want other women out there to love themselves as well.”

The comments hurt Cheryl, but they really affected her “DWTS” partner Maurice Greene, who saw red when he read them.

“Me and Cheryl have spent a lot of time together and we have a great relationship and I’m very protective of her,” he said. “When they first started I didn’t really say anything to her cause I didn’t want to hurt her anymore… I just try to lift up her spirit as much as I can and just make her have fun and try to forget about everything.”

But keeping Cheryl positive has been more than Maurice’s mission.

“My family, my boys, everybody was calling her and telling her she looked great and don’t he worrying about that stuff,” he said. “I think she looks great and you know what? As long as she feels good, that’s the only thing that matters really.”
