The Amazing Race Asia 3 Spoilers/Speculation
TARAsia Fan:
25 hours of doing nothing? Does this mean a big massive bunching? I'll agree with you, peach that this is on the train. Remember in TAR 3 the long train ride the last three teams took in Vietnam? I believe that was around the 24/25 hour mark.
And do we get our first NEL? I'm wondering.
georgiapeach:
I guess it could still be an extended leg but the train schedules we have the earlier one is at about 16 hours I think and the later at 24-25 so I vote for train! :jumpy: :jumpy: :jumpy:
Much better than stupid extended pitstop timewaster.
And oh boy if we can have dragon boats AND a train I'm a happy camper!
Chateau d If:
And they never openly talk or reveal anything about extended pit stops. So I say it's the train ride you found.
Now, will they have to compete for the AC sleepers like TAR3 teams did? poor Flo :meow:

--- Quote ---Tours depart at 8am from the main wharf and return at about 4pm. There are numerous identical Dragon boats that all depart at the same time. You can be picked up from your hotel for no additional charge.
The trip visits Linh Mu (Thien Mu) pagoda, Hon Chen Temple, Tu Duc Tomb, Minh Mang Tomb and Khai Dinh Tomb spending between 45 minutes and an hour at each stop. This is definately not enough time for a true temple junkie but it is a good way to get your bearings as to the historical sites in Hue.
Both Tu Duc and Khai Dinh tombs require a moto-taxi once you get there, and the drivers are quite notorious for doubling the negotiated price for the return trip. Each site has an entry fee of between AU$1.50 and $4. Having paid $2 for the boat trip is hardly cause for complaint. A basic cooked lunch is included in the price with the option of paying for extra dishes. The boat itself is basically a decoratively covered barge with plastic garden chairs there is no commentary or guides at the sites.

--- Quote ---A dragon boat cruise down the Perfume River is the best way to see the imperial palaces, tombs and temples of Hue. It costs just 25,000 VND for an all-day cruise, starting at 8am and returning at 3pm.
A minibus will collect you from your hotel and take you to the landing stage. This is included in the price, as is a simple lunch and drink. Entrance fees are not included. Also, you will need to pay extra for a motorbike taxi to take you to any site that is not close to the river.
The route takes in Thien Mu Pagoda, Tu Duc Tomb, Hon Chen Temple, Khai Dinh Tomb and Minh Mang Tomb. The boat will drop you at the the Citadel at the end of the cruise, if you request it.
You can buy a ticket at any travel agency in Hue, including Sinh Cafe

I must have been wrapped up in a bamboo mat at the time :funny:
Oh well, some of us are just slower than others... :groan:
But anyway, this will be a fabulous visual! Just wish I knew if they take it downstream or upstream!
TARAsia Fan:
Michael McKay tells me there are no more plans for a 90 minute episode this season. You can take that for what it's worth. :)
