--- Quote from: brandoko on October 27, 2008, 09:53:00 AM ---99% of me believe that Sam and Vince won this year (the other 1% is still hoping it was Geoff and Tish) because of the Sony Cybershot commercial the two did. The same thing happened last year with Collin and Adrian despite earlier denials from AXN when the ad came out.

Sony is a major sponsor of the race, with their cameras in use throughout. They also provided some of the prizes for the winners of several legs. Having said all that, why would they pick a non-winning tandem to endorse their product?

If indeed this speculation is turns out to be true, it's okay with me. At least it was not the sister act of Henrietta and Bernie!!!

yah i've also noticed that hehe..

but is it a tradition?? coz zabrina and joejer didnt do the commercial i think.. hehe..
but i have 80% feeling that sam and vince will win..

Okay here is some info on the Macau Tower bungy from someone we know who did it recently: :ty3:

--- Quote ---You could be up, suited, jumped and on your way in 30-45 minutes easily,
provided no lines, etc.

Changing room is big, but only one jump at a time. Getting hooked up, jumping,
and unhooked takes most of that time.

From the front door, you have to go downstairs, cross a decent sized tunnel, an
catch the elevator up. From hitting the front door, moving quickly, and knowing
exactly where to go an assuming elevator was waiting for you, you could be up
top ready to change in 15 minutes I say. Rest of time to suit up, jump, get
unhooked and not dawdle.
--- End quote ---

Time in between jumps needed?

--- Quote ---Once down, getting unhooked and off the mat, plus reeling the line back up, 5-8
minutes?

ALSO: Paying extra few bucks for premium seating on hydrofoil critical. They let
premium berth FULLY disembark before standard.
--- End quote ---

So after the Macau tower skyjump, G/T rush to ferry terminal and take an earlier ferry than the other teams. Then, they ALSO take an earlier flight which is probably HK to India via S'pore?

Then since they're on an earlier flight, when they stop at s'pore they say they have 2hr lead? Bingo???
 :js:

apskip:
ryaniiez, you are essentially correct except that it is more like 3 hours earlier arrival in Singapore for Geoff/Tisha. If you want the details, please see my posts #1183 and 1189 on this thread.
