Speculation on season 13
georgiapeach:
From the BVM interview, we have "cobblestone street" in Bolivia:
Since we know it is La PAz, I am coming up with this so far:
--- Quote ---Acho and other witches, medicine women, folk doctors, astrologers, fortunetellers, and sorcerers live and work on the Calle Linares, a cobblestone street in an old quarter of La Paz known for generations as the Mercado de las Brujas, or Witches' Market.
--- End quote ---
--- Quote ---Calle Jaen with its cobblestone street, balconies and stone doorways makes you think you are in Spain. There are four museums here: Museo del Litoral, Museo de Metales Preciosos Pre-Colombinos, Museo de Instrumentos Musicales, and the Casa de Don Pedro Domingo Murillo (first door on the left in the picture). The Museo Costumbrista Juan de Vargas is on Sucre just to the right from where the picture was taken.
--- End quote ---
But cobblestone streets seem to be everywhere!

We know they took the monorail into Moscow per Robyn, that does not mean that they could not have been instructed to take a car from there but why would he be running with a backpack if his car is parked nearby? unless he had dumped the car at this point but still where is his partner, why no pictures of the camera men.
blahblah

Not to put a too fine point on it, and questionable sighting aside, BVM gave some interesting hints about the Moscow leg. He was quoted as saying " ...A by-train-or-by-bus scavenger hunt in Moscow."
Given the 4.2km monorail connects two Metro stations, could the Moscow leg be something like the previous TAR (Romber) London leg, where the racers were limited to public transportation (subway).
Moscow has a huge subway system and very bad traffic jams. Perhaps they can decide to get from one location to another using either the bus or train (subway/monorail). (Cabs could take too long in this city.)
Just a thought. :bubs

:funny: maybe they have to "jump the shark" (or rather, jump the rubble in the street) with their wooden bikes...

I love the scavenger hunt thing...I have been wondering why out of all the fab places in Moscow they would choose a rather obscure museum? Maybe this explains it...
So we need more Metro info and more bus info...which would be the better choice? I

A good old scvenger hunt around Moscow sounds like a great idea!
So I did some mapping out on google to get the answer on which is faster: bus or subway? I used Pushkin Square as a starting point. By bus, it would take around 54 minutes to get to the All-Russia Exhibition Centre. There are many bus stops along the way, with buses comming every 30 minutes. By subway, it takes 28 minutes. There is only one stop in between, which requires the racers to take another subway. The first trip takes 3 minutes, with a transfer taking only 2 minutes. The 2nd trip takes 10 minutes. Subways run every 2 minutes. The only real problem with taking the subway is that it doesn't drop you off right infront of the pitstop. it takes another 10 minutes to walk.
