Mooyou(thanks for the tip on m error),
The fact is that Kolkata has been used before. Sure, as a huge urban center in India the amazing Race could get stunning sights on camera. However, these huge Indian cities have never been on an amazing Race and deserve to before any other city repeats:

Bangalore
Hyderabad
Goa (a small state, not a large city)
Ahmadabad
Shimla (a tourist area formerly known as Simla, not urban)

Hi Apskip! It's me and not cdfe88 who thought of Kolkata ^_^

If were talking about India, I'm thinking of Amritsar, in Punjab the near Pakistan border and where the Sikhs are could actually be a good place...

Mooyou,
I thought about Amritsar and it is reputed to be beautiful. Unfortunately, there is a lot of violence in that area due to the proximity of the Pakistani border.

I hate it when all of those beautiful locations are barred because of wars, pandemic flu seasons, etc... Oh well... I guess there should be extra effort for TAR to find new locations as well as better tasks especially the next season...

hey what about Myanmar (Burma)?

there's a couple good locations, like Yangon and Mandalay

or is it considered an unsafe country by the U.S. department of whatever its called...?

i'd look it up myself, but i lost the link to the site that marks countries safe to travel to or not, and as you can tell i have no idea what that department is... is it the department of safety?
