Driving down dirt roads, both teams prepare to run for it.
Teams gathered at the finish line start to clap.
Phil stands on the Amazing Bathmat.

TK/Rachel run to the line. He turns around and celebrates on the way.
Phil: Ten cities, 4 continents, 30,000 miles, TK/Rachel, you are the winners of the Amazing Race. You have won the one million dollars. Congratulations.
TK/ None of this seems real.

Nic conf: Doing it with my grandfather was great.
Don conf: What made me the happiest was getting the whole way, every leg.
Rachel conf: TK is my rock, my favorite person. I got to do this with him.
TK conf: Not compromising our relationship in any way, making friendships. Nice guys finish first. We raced the Race, and we won.

Well an interesting final three thats for sure.  Most deserving.  Naw.  Easily season 1.  THe only time the 3 teams that were consistently (from the first leg to the last) the three teams that were the best.

the only season that has happened.

I definitely agree, this has to be the best final 3 ever.  I've NEVER liked all 3 teams and can stand any of them winning.  Ironically, my favourite team has made it into the finale every single season except the 10th season (D/K were my favourites), and most of the time, my favourites have won. Tonight was no exception.

So happy TK/Rachel won. Sure they might have been "boring" to some, but personally I loved them because they reminded me of myself and someone else I know.  Very deserving winners, and runner ups too.  I really liked Christina and Don (not extremely fond of Nick or Ron but they grew on me the last few legs).  It's cool though that two teams you probably would not have expected to be in the finale, were.

Anyone know what (or even if) shows they will be on this coming week?

how do you think the ratings will be for this episode? awseome season!!!!!!!!! is it me or was this so much more intense then the all stars one. i think it might have been because we didnt know who won.

congrats to tk & rachel. i was rooting for chris & ron but any of the three teams winning is fine with me since they all deserved to be in the final 3. looking forward to the next season of TAR. yepee...

Some final thoughts:

Nicholas should've remembered to get the freaking gear!  That really helped cost him big-time!   :groan:

The Roadblock killed poor Christina!  Darn!  I was rooting for them because they were Asian Americans and I have a soft spot for them!  If only she'd realized sooner what the right order was!

However, I should congratulate T.K. & Rachel.   They were calm throughout the race, and that's what helped them win.

If Ron & Christina had won the Race, Season 12 would've been my favorite season ever!  However, it still made my Top 3, behind TAR 5 & TAR 7.

ron and christina were a really good team -- they kicked ass for most of this leg, and it all came down to luck -- but rachel was smart, she stayed calm, and she deserved it -- nick and christina panicked a little to much.
