Without having access to my computer, to check last week's episode in more detail.
I can't comment on driving time and distance.
But those tasks, and if you knew what you where doing shouldn't have taken that much time.
I know by the shots of Tk & Rachel that they finished the newspaper clue near sunrise which was a little after 6. I know that Rachel's a florist (and after talking to two local florists) that tasks should have taken much time at all, if you were used to handling flowers and doing any garlands (not all florist do garlands, but it isn't uncommon). Tk (if his guidance was accurate) could have finished the roadblock quite quickly. As both locations were nearby (the key was getting accurate directions and how fast you could lug up the tanks, which he seemed to have no problem. This team could have finished the combined tasks under an hour easily.
The big problem is traffic and driving. From accounts I have read traffic can be mind numbing slow, or very, very quick passed (and not that safe).
For example, Kynt & Vyxsin said the time it took to travel to and complete and travel back from for the speed bump was 30-40 minutes. If they were accurate where they eat up a lot of time was when the cabs took them to the wrong locations or were just lost.
In Tk & Rachel's Mat Chats they mention that their cabs for this leg were really good.
Though do agree that with travel to airport (which for some reason, was not even considering) and even with a rush boarding that wouldn't leave them with enough time even for the 8:20 flight.
But with three out of 8 legs already having odd Pit Stop times (not the usual 12,24, or 36), that it is a possibility for this leg, and that we should at least consider that as a way to explain teams getting there the 25th, with enough separate that no team even saw Tk & Rachel at the starting airport (unless that is just how they edited it).
Plus damn it, I want to get one flight right.
