Sunflower and FNF I uderstand what you are saying, but I don't know why know one remembers the first blow and that came from Jen in the very first food comp "Butter me Up" where she said to Kail something along the lines of not having Dick touch her because he smoked. Then during the first POV ceremony while Jen and all the guys in the house were locked up in the HOH room Jen started a fight with Dick about him touching her in the food comp and that is what set off the entire tirade against her by Dick. Also at that point in time no one really cared all that much for her and wanted her gone but had to deal with her and make nice to her because the following week she was HOH.

I had completely forgotten about that, just goes to show how much this season has made an impression on me lol. I can't believe I forgot about that though because that is what initially started me not liking her

. Those of course were just words where as Dick has used actions (ie: tea incident, intionally going to where she was sitting minding her own business and smoked his cigarettes within inches of her when there was room on the far end of the couch for him) I think that's why everyone is more up in arms about Dick. I still would rather have D & D in the house though, for the soul purpose of building up their relationship.

I don't know, I think had it not been for BB they might have never started talking again, and how bad would that have been

I like Dani (even though my husband hates hearing me say that, lol), I really think she is probably a good person, not perfect, but then again who is. I bet deep down she is a very sweet person, she's just under the added stress of her dad being up her rear all the time instead of being able to play this without the additional worry.

I can see how others would not feel that way though, I just don't agree lol.

Sunflower I think that you and I are on the same page here. I mean Jen just started in on Dick because he smoked without him doing anything to her though. Dick is just one of those people that knows how to cut a person down and he just goes right for the jugular (sp). Maybe the reason we see the same way about this sunflower is because we are similar in age, as I am also about the same age as Jen, I believe that she is 23 and I am 24. But she does not act her age. Yes, while Dick dumping the tea on Jen's head was not right, that was a day when Dick and Jen were going at it and then Jen just started making comments about Dani in relation to Kris and then Nick without ever knowing the story. That is an example even no matter how uncalled for it was of Dick trying to protect his child and to try and further her in this game, which are both things that he will do in this game until he is gone and in life as a parent, which it seems to me as though he has not really done for most of her life.

Yep, I think you are right, we are on the same page. Which is exactly why I haven't jumped on the hate Dick bandwagon, who can blame him for trying anything he can to improve their relationship. That being said I wouldn't have handled it the same way, but hey, I'm not him lol. People are always harping non stop on him yet never look at what could very well be the main reasons for his actions, to help his daughter. I still don't think pouring tea on Jen's head was the best way to handle it, and I did get annoyed with him there for that, but it's better he do that than what he probably really wanted to do, it was his daughter being trashed.

The only thing I don't agree with you on is that he didn't do anything but smoke, if I remember right (and I may very well be remembering wrong) he even admitted to the others he blew the smoke directly in her face. I think that was rather petty.

I agree with both of you! I know that any parent, reguardless of how strained the relationship, would jump to the defense of their child... whether we agree with the way he handled it or not, you cannot say that it wasn't something that we all wanted to do! lol

I am a smoker, and I despise RUDE smokers... I go out of my way to avoid non-smokers when I am smoking, I can agree that Dick's actions in this situation were immature and rude...

I am 23 and there is no way that I would have handled any of Dick's remarks in the way that Jen did... she handled them like a pro!

But I do believe that Dick, at heart, is a good guy. He is the typical bad boy, and personally I think that he is sexy as hell, but that is a whole nother rant! lol

Sunflower I do think that that was petty also the blowing smoke directly in her face especially as a nonsmoker, because I don't smoke and cough when I am around it because I am allergic to it. But in Dick's defense honestly she was trying to stay in his face to push him as far as he would go to try and get him to be kicked out before her. I think that Jen does not want to leave the house before Dick. Now with that being said that after he did it and he did do it twice so the second time was on purpose whether or not the first time was, which I don't know but probably was when Jen reached over to grab the lit cigarette from Dick and was clawing at him she was asking for more and was honestly in my opinion looking for trouble and on Showtime that is when they showed the control room to get them to settle down and apparently there were several members of the BB production staff yelling at them when that was happening in the BY.

Cleanup continues, he pulled the trash can into the kitchen, emptied the kitchen trash can and is taking it all to the storeroom. (Door won't open. BB must be having trouble with the SR door, he had problems with it earlier, now he says fix the GD door please.. but you didn't do it like you said you would.)

Another D & D supporter here too. I do not like the things Dick says, but he has made the show interesting and the rest of them have said some vile things behind D/D's back (incest comments). I give credit to Dani for her intelligence. Even though she doesn't know it she did figure Eric out. Amber, who is supposedly so religious uses the F word constantly. I was beginning to like Jen, but her actions last night just seemed like a poor loser to me. Now I do not think he should have went up and blew smoke in her face he did do it after he found out she destroyed all his cigs. I would have been ticked enough to blow smoke in her face too. Can't wait to see what today brings.
