Zack.:
Mumbai again? TAR's managed five trips to India (making up 7/8 legs), all at different cities. Plus, there are still other sites to explore - Bangalore and Hyderabad the most notable (granted, my knowledge of Indian geography is furnished by Google, expert cartographer :))

Is there any more information on the Taiwan leg/"leg" - specificaly if they just stay in Taipei or if they go to other city/cities like Kaohsiung (mainly because Kaohsiung's Dragon/Tiger pagodas seem like an excellent choice for a pit stop).

zackattack308, you may have missed my analysis of the Indian situation many weeks ago I think in the Locations thread. In essence, I argued that the timing of the race dictated staying in northern India due to its greater proximity to the line of flight between Europe(various latitudes, the correct one now know to be 44 degrees at Florence) and Osaka at 34 degrees. Delhi at 29 degrees comes closest. Agra next, then Kolkata, then Mumbai, lastly Chennai at 13 degrees. I agree with you that Bangalore and Hyderabad are the logical next major Indian cities to be used. However, the prevailing RFF wisdom is that it is more likely to be a smaller place like Jaisalmer or on the northern Kerala coast where the leg goes. Time is of the essence, so I cannot see either Jaisalmer or Kerala being doable in a short time frame. So where does that leave me? I think it will be something close to either Delhi or Mumbai, both of which have excellent air connections from Europe and to Osaka, better than either Hyderabad or Bangalore to the south.

If it was me, I would focus on Mumbai for flights....

I promise if Mumbai works out, then Mum-bai I'll tell you and if it doesn't work out I'll tell you either way.
