I know many people thought Melinda should have been in the final and I have to admit a final between Melinda and Jordin would have been amazing. But Jordin prove she deserved to win tonight.

She did take a risk with the first song while performance wise it couldn't touch Blake's first performance it really proved that she can sing almost anything.

Round two to Jordin hands down, I think Jordin emotes very well, and her version of "Broken Wing" was even better this time. I had mixed feelings about Blake doing "She Will Be Loved" but he did Maroon 5 last week and that is a difficult song to sing and I don't think he sang it well. Though I do think he should go in that type of direction.

Of course then there was the winner's single. Every year we get a crappy cheese song and this year was no different. Will we ever get a good song like "A Moment Like This", probably not. But it doesn't matter because it is just filler and it's is all about the album anyways.

Blake did his best and it wasn't bad but it really was a singer's song and Blake isn't a great singer.

Jordin nailed it and the little emotional choke up at the end was reminiscent of Carrie's performance of Angels Brought Me Here during season 4.

Jordin proved she deserved to win it tonight taking 2 out of 3 from Blake. Good luck to them both I think they could both be very successful.

simon said it...blake did the best he could with that bruital song....i wish it was like last year when each got a different song that suited them best!!!! its like the producers set it up for jordin to win!??!!? thought on that?!

BbK: As always, I think your analysis is spot on. Jordin is the winner tonight. I thought Blake outdid Jordin with his first song and that last "song" did him in. It was a  piece of tedious tripe. Even Jordin couldn't do much with it.

Jordin is sure to win based on my dialing attempts, Jordin's 3 phone numbers were all busy and I could hardly get through to vote for her even 3 hours after the show finished. I had no trouble getting in for CeeJay's Blake votes an hour after the finale.

I can't remember, but I think you might be right about different songs last year. That last one was a terrible choice for Blake to have to sing, but playing it back this morning thanks to Rickey.org, he didn't do as bad with it when just listening to it and not watching him try to perform on stage. Blake will do well and probably better by not winning AI. I thought that last week he did better than that group who sang and if I had to choose which CD I'd buy, it would be Blake's hands down.

Jordin sounded like a screamer last night...he single tear will win her votes...that song was much better suited for her...i wasn't impressed this year but it was MUCH Better than hick's season!!
