How I rank tonights performances

Unfortunately last night was insignificant. They are adding the votes together and last week Jordin and Blake kicked everyone's ass. They could have had the worst performance ever (Jordin did) and it won't matter. There was nothing Lakisha and Chris could do because they are too far behind.

Blake was easily the best of the night. Lakisha was great too, her performance was full of emotion. But she has been bad 2 out of  3 weeks and unfortunately on this show it isn't about what have you done for me lately. Her bad performances are coming back to bite her in the ass. Poor Chris, he is good, but not great and because of the split votes between Blake and him he is a goner.

Melinda, yeah we know she is good but what's new. She is slipping week by week simply because she isn't as likable as some of the others. Phil is really gaining a fan base and right now Jordin and Blake are the ones to beat. Phil was great last night, he will come in finish in the forgetful third spot behind Blake and Jordin. While Melinda will be Daughtryed.

BballKates:  I really like your analysis and hope you are right.  I think that the 3 divas are going to lose one tonight.  It would really help Blake for Chris to go, then he could grab the young girl votes.  Lucky Phil figured out his country twist, he has a whole new base of fans to pull from

I have to smile over the Daughtryed comment because it is dead on. I'm not sure she isn't likable but because she is praised every single week, the votes probably go elsewhere thinking she doesn't need any. But I'm sure Melinda will do fine after Idol. LaKisha too for that matter. Too true about the forgettable third position, I'm not sure he will make it there but he well could. Clay Aiken and Daughtry are examples of doing better by not winning. Do we hear anything about Taylor Hicks? Nope!

I'm hoping (and believe) Chris will be gone after tonight. Most likely LaKisha, she has been in the bottom 3 for several weeks and last night's votes probably weren't enough to save her. Ah well.. on to next week I guess.  :js:

I guess I should change my list because I forgot to add in last week's votes and Simon's KOD comments.  :'(

Not wanting to spoil, I must admit I was shocked. Not by the 2nd boot but by the first one ???
