IMPORTANT! Even though we are a spoiler board, we do NOT want to have the episode spoiled while it is airing.

SO!! If you are watching anything but an EST US feed, it is your responsibility to be sure you are not ahead of us if you want to post/update in this thread. Other feeds may be way ahead of us.

Previously on The Amazing Race...

5 teams raced to Singapore. At a travel agency, Kym & Alli got the upper hand but in a fast forward showdown against Adam & Bethany, the cyclists wiped out.

Jim flipped out at the roadblock while the scientists lost their composure at the massage detour

. The soul surfers won their 2nd leg in a row, and a lie from the wrestlers sent the scientists astray...

But in the end, the cyclists couldn't recover from their Fast Forward gamble.

4 teams remain. Who will be eliminated next? Brooke: "I secretly want her to fall so we're first."

Adam & Bethany depart 1st at 2:01 PM. Fly to Manilla, Philippines. Once there, they must pick up their next clue from a flower vender. Adam thinks they deserve to be in the top 3. Their confidence is a little shaken after their flight booking mess last leg. They get a flight out at 7:25 tonight which arrives at 11:00 PM on Singapore Airlines.

Brooke & Robbie depart at 3:35 PM. Robbie wants to go to the airport but Brooke wants to go to the travel agency. Brooke basically lists a bunch of their flaws, which includes not knowing what continent they're on most of the time.

They get on the same flight.

Misti & Jim depart at 3:48 PM. They're going to the airport.

Amy & Maya depart at 4:27 PM. They say they're not much of a physical threat but they're an academic threat.

Maya is calling a travel agency on the way to the airport in a taxi. They get on the same 11 PM flight.

Misti & Jim are at the airport asking for flights.

Amy & Maya going to get their tickets. Misti & Jim find out that flight was fully booked...

Amy & Maya ask the time Brooke & Robbie got to the pit stop. Maya says they got in an hour later. Brooke & Robbie manage to convince Amy & Maya that it was a misunderstanding?

Really bizarre.

Dentists don't get on the flight... What the heck. Wow. They're in last.

First flight arrives. Brooke & Robbie get the first taxi. They don't know where the dentists are.

Adam & Bethany second.
Bethany: "How do you say hello in Filipino?"
Taxi Driver: "Hello!"

Wrestlers find out that you have to pick up the clue from the flower vender at 6:30 AM. Wow dentists are lucky. Dentists arrive before 6:30.

Teams getting their clue. Make your way to Rosario Municipal Plaza and find Salinas Specials for the next clue. Teams have to get on a jeepney.

Maya talking about being immersed in the culture. <33333 She's so cool. "We should bring jeepneys to the states!"

Adam said it was like a limo. Robbie said it was like a limo... except nothing like it.

Brooke can't handle the smell and she's gagging and stuff. Robbie with the title in a confessional.

Misti & Jim talking about seeing children in the middle of the street, just sitting there.

So sad. They're emotional.

All teams looking for Salinas Specials. Brooke: "Smells like dog food." All teams just walking together lol and they all get the clue together.

Detour: Catch or Coach
Catch: Using a bucket, transport fish to the shore. Once they've filled 3 buckets (about 300 pounds), they will get their next clue.
Coach: Assemble a sidecar and properly mount it onto a motorcycle.

Everyone except wrestlers are doing coach.

Amy & Maya realize that the clue said you have to take a motor tricycle... Oh dear.

They run back and now they get a motor tricycle.

Brooke keeps talking about how nasty everything is.

Ew her coughing is not super nice.

They decided at the beginning to do physical challenges lol. They get into the water and walk along a rope. The waves are pretty crazy. Robbie held the bucket and Brooke put the fish in.

Dentists and surfers get to coach. Surfers pick a hippie-ish sidecar.

Jim says this is pretty natural for him. Adam says he loves doing maintenance type stuff and Bethany said she was his assistant.

People cheering for Brooke & Robbie as they arrive on shore. By hands, they have to transfer the fish into another bucket. ROBBIE IS DOING THIS ONE FISH AT A TIME.

Robbie doesn't like dealing with animals. This is really funny.

Brooke's being a pro at this and Robbie's just transporting 2 fish at a time.

Amy & Maya arrive at coach.

Amy said they're pretty good at putting stuff together. Maya: I don't know my tools very well.

Brooke & Robbie going for their second trip out. Robbie: "At least we're getting cardio today." They're having trouble with this because the fish are too heavy and then the waves making the fish fall out of the bucket. They're arguing because some fish spilled out of the bucket on shore. They're putting the fish into a bucket. Robbie thinks they need 2 more trips.

Misti & Jim think they're getting really close.

Adam tells Bethany to loosen a screw. Bethany: "I guess you could call me a girl..."

Maya put together a homogenizer for her research. "That's the ony thing I put together besides my wardrobe but that's got no tools on it."

Misti & Jim call for a judge. They talk to the camera guy and Jim thinks they're going to get approved but they don't. Incorrect shock installation.

Amy & Maya picked a tuk tuk with a cross necklace. Amy: "I don't think the Lord cares which tuk tuk we decide to build."

It's starting to rain. Brooke & Robbie need to make more trips because of the rain. Wow tough detour.

It's pouring rain at the other detour now too. Bethany: "I'm just going to put on this thing because I think it's easy."

Amy & Maya are getting a check... It's not good. They don't think the seat's tight enough.

Brooke & Robbie realize they're in first. They can't believe they're in first.

They're so happy. "We're the pro wrestlers... We're never in first."

Phil doing a live standup. Throwback to season 5 and MY OX IS BROKEN.

Teams must use their ox to dig up their next clue buried somewhere in the mud.

Brooke says she is awesome with animals and Robbie isn't...

Brooke picks the ox and their field. Brooke says she thinks their ox is about to poop... and it pooped. Brooke and Robbie's reaction is hilarious.

LEG 10 (Singapore --> Philippines) EPISODE ANALYSIS
Right around the corner of the grand season 25 finale, we fly into the city of Manila in the Philippines! The race kicks off with an hours of operation... ehh. Then, we are faced with the main tasks... Sorry for this terrible introduction, too tired from work to type up any more reviews.

Liked the episode though!

DETOUR: (Shark Week or Motor Week)
In Shark Week, teams had to harvest three basket-fulls of fish from Manila Bay to receive their next clue. Not only this task truly reflected an exotic nature of fish harvesting in the Philippines, but proved that wrestler can't even finish without encountering troubles. Plus the impending thunderstorm... more challenge to the task at hand. I loved it! In Motor Week, teams had to properly assemble a side carriage onto a Filipino motorcycle to receive their next clue. Again, this task matched the difficulty of the priorly listed task in the Detour. Misti & Jim struggled with the mechanical work in this task despite being detailed-attentive. Also, more points for featuring authentic Filipino products in the Philippines.
DETOUR SCORE: 10/10

FAUX ROADBLOCK: (Who plows through challenges?)
(Switchback to TAR5) This Roadblock required one team member to steer an ox through a muddy rice field while searching for a clue. I do love a good Switchback, and every team being caught up in the pasture was hilarious! A great task to end the Leg, but I thought the Pit Stop should have been placed further along the path.
ROADBLOCK SCORE: 9/10

OTHER SCORES:
TEAM DEVELOPMENT: 8/10
TEAM DRAMA: 10/10
EDITING: 9.5/10
SOUNDTRACK: 8/10
PIT STOP CONFIGURATION: 3/10 (Really? 4 teams left and they refuse to air Adam & Bethany's 3rd place? Come on!)
MAYA DURING MANILA TAXI RIDES: 11/10 (Authentic excitement!)
BROOKE'S "GROSS"ING AND COUGHING: 5/10
OVERALL: 8.8/10

Alas, Adam & Bethany next to last on a NEL again, and the only 2 legs they won since leg 2 were from extras. Congratulations Bertram, you've cast an absolutely horrid team, AGAIN.

Holy crap (No pun intended), this entire leg was disgusting to watch, and I had just eaten my dinner 10 minutes in too.

Great finish though!

Excuse me, BetHany has done her share of roadblocks this season, and I dxon't think there's much support for the producer bias claim. All the teams benefit from tasks being ARIs as opposed to roadblocks. And as to the switchback, the original in TAR 5 was a detour to begin with.

I think this is a fine leg. Not their best effort.. but yeah. I know so well that there's so much of anything else to do in the Philippines, but noooo they have to build a tuk-tuk with machines and deliver 300 pounds of fishes like there's no one else there to do it. Oh also a switchback! What a nice surprise! So I assume they already did one or a couple legs in The Philippines like a million years ago.

Quite frankly, I was fine with the tuk-tuk task but the fish delivering? I mean really!?

And the whole ox thing, it seemed to me that once the dentists found their clue, everyone else then knew what kind of item they were looking for and they just searched for the exact same thing. So after that, phew! no sweating for the scientists.

The Wrestlers sadly hit a final 4 speed bump next leg, even after a preciously great lead.

Now I don't want to take a guess around, but history does speak for itself on how a team that hit a speed bump in final 4 always ends up. Hmm hmm?!

And it will be a linear leg too. Philippines 2 has a lot to make up on!

Looks like they all found the clues within minutes of each other since Phil pointed to the other two teams running over right after he officially checks Misti & Jim and Amy & Maya in. And then tells them about the trip to Vietnam when all of them were there.

Should've edited it into a four way footrace instead.

I think the ox switchback can make it as Roadblock since we only saw Brooke, Adam, Amy and Jim was do the ox plow. Too bad it was an ARI.

I do agree that they had trouble, but from what the teams said, the Scientists arrived almost immediately after the Dentists. If they got that extra 3-5 minutes (since they walked probably halfway and had to go back), would it have affected the ranks?

I feel like this should be in the What If section, but I'm just gonna continue it here. If need be, you can move it there.

YAWN at no RB for their precious Bethany again

the producers may have changed several RBs to ARIs so that the lovable one-armed girl could succeed and continue to "inspire" us all
Leg 2: Punting RB --> Punting ARI (oh let's just make some wave a freaking flag and its an ARI! lololol)
Leg 3: Sheep herding RB --> herding ARI (one person did it in season 2, but let's have two people do it anyway because screw RBs)
Leg 10: ox RB --> OX ARI (Colin did it by himself, but this is the least solid of the three)
Additionally, a SURFING FF in Leg 9
I'm not saying the producers rigged this season for Adam & Bethany; but they're sure designed it so that IF she makes it far, she doesn't need to worry about doing too many RBs! I mean, really, its Leg 10 & Adam & Bethany have each done 3. The limit is 6 (or maybe 5 this season). It's ridiculous. Bethany has proven that she is quite capable with one arm, the producers don't have to make it easier for her.

The ox task is horrible and I don't know why the fields are in different sizes. Yes, we can call the wrestler the idiots to choose the biggest one but I think they should do it fair from the beginning to all the teams. It's still a luck task even if you manage to control the ox properly.

Not really. If they immediately got on the tricycle, they would probably finish the Detour in 2nd or 3rd (behind the wrestlers, probably the surfers). The thing is, since there were only 4 ponds available, Amy & Maya being last forced them into the pond where they found the clue quickly. If they were 2nd or 3rd, they could have chosen differently, and might have taken them longer or quicker.

Don't you think that the chat at the mat with Phil when all four teams were there seemed awkward? Phil asks who will be the winner and all we get is a weird look from the dentists and a declaration from Amy & Maya that they want to be another all girl team to win TAR? I don't like the editing of that - seems to me like scientists are next to be eliminated or the winners. If any of that wouldn't be the truth it will be just odd to leave that conversation in the episode...

You may have something there. I don't think that the scientists are next to be eliminated, so this could mean that they win! I'd love it if they won!

Love the episode!

It wasn't the best, but it's still better than TAR24 in my opinion, or it could've been a leg in TAR24. Looks really good.

~Awww for no roadblock, but the switchback made up for it.

~Both sides of the detour were good.

The fishing one would've been meh, but noting the factors that it's heavy, the water is so polluted, transferring the fish looks annoying, and more, the task was difficult enough.

The easier one was slower, so the detour is just balanced imo.

~Yay switchback!

Poor Brooke for picking the wrong pond.
~Maya talking about the jeepney was so funny.

I like that! It's so memorable.

~Brooke & Robbie whining just makes me continue liking them.

~By the way, the ARIs that are speculated to be roadblocks can be done in one arm (I think).

If what I saw from the preview was correct, there's a place there where it is 2-3 minutes away from my house, and I wasn't at my house that time.

Erm, I don't see how this race (with the exception of the surfing FF)

is unfair if Bethany has to do the other Roadblocks (repelling yo?) with one arm and still beat many teams.

I guess we just have to deal with it lol...

Statistically speaking, there wouldn't be so many teams that could fall behind with only a few left in the race. Add a speedbump into it, you get yourself a perfect leg scenario.

and by looking at your list, the most recent 4 teams who had a speedbump in leg11 got the boot eventually. I don't necessarily think that the speed bump were the cause of most of their eliminations though.

I'm not a fan of F4 NELs either, but I think they have to do that to... maybe add the suspense on Leg 9? If TAR takes away F4 NELs, Leg 9 F5s will always be NELs, and I think the suspense is taken away too by that time.

As for the last 4 F4-NEL eliminations above... only TAR16's speedbump cost the team their race. The chances of having the speedbump eliminating the F4 team depends.

If their placement gets affected like Misti & Jim back in the Moroccan leg, then the speedbump is... effective. Tim & Te Jay's speedbump didn't make them fall to last, but it was a different task that kicked them out of the race. And IIRC, the last 3 F4-NEL eliminations were similar to what happened to T&TJ.

Anyway, if a speedbump made a team fall to last, then the speedbump would cost them the race.

Tbh, I feel that this is the worst leg this season. A lack of a Roadblock, a proper pit stop and a lame bike recreating Detour.

The only thing which delivered was the fish Detour.

they were eliminated by getting lost and struggling at the roadblock respectively
