BJ/Tyler got frustrated at that episode's RB. In a field with over 100 underground ovens, teams had to find an oven that had food buried inside (said food would become their dinner for the night  ). BJ/Tyler arrived first or second, but departed in last, during which the food and stress of the task caused them to have a rare argument.

I don't think it's notable enough for a Switchback, but I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a task in the desert again.

What if one team had quit the roadblock, would they have had no dinner? or if there had been a fast-forward and somebody took it?

PS: I would love to see it, can u pm me the link

it doesn't look so much like daytime to me when they're released... it looks more like sunrise or sunset

The mosque in 10-11 is in Mutrah, Oman. It is the Al Lawatiya Mosque (the 'Blue Mosque')

From Virtual Tourist:
Quote
Al-Lawatiya Mosque (Mosque of the great prophet) is located in the beautiful sea front promenade in Mutrah. The blue minaret dominates the skyline of Mutrah. And the top of the minaret is illuminated in the nights. You can hear the prayer on the top of the minaret several times a day.

Address: Al Bahri Road
Directions: GPS coordinate: 23° 37' 16.9800" N 58° 33' 45.0500" E

So if Jill/Thomas weren't exaggerating to the guy in Muscat airport (they told him they'd lose if they couldn't get a flight to Bangladesh within 8 hours), does this mean they came in 2nd to last in the 2nd Russian leg? Or am I simplifying things?

According to my speculation they may finish in the bottom half in episode 7. However there is a whole leg between that one and the flight to Bangladesh.

Whoops, just noticed I put in 2nd Russian leg. I meant they came in 2nd to last (barely eliminated) in the Oman leg, hence trailing behind on the way to Bangladesh.

All I got out of that preview is what we already know, either C/S or G/M will be eliminated in Oman. Then Bangladesh may or may not be a NEL. Any other thoughts? I still lean towards C/S being eliminated before G/M.

If it's no misdirection and Chad & Stephanie do turn out to be MIA at the start of the next leg and miss the flight to Oman, then I agree.  I think Gary & Mallory will struggle on the leg, but not suffer all that much.

It looks to me like it's in Arabic, so it may be tough to translate since you won't be able to cut and paste.

Why does it say "another team" as if one slept in and another proposes when we know both are the same team?

Some quick observations:

The opening shot is the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque in Muscat.

Brooke is driving at night but the RB is in the day.

The task B/C are doing in that apparently quick moving machine could be the detour. I have a feeling that it could be a FF though because no one else is shown doing it and they are not shown doing anything else.

I don't tend to believe the "sleeping in" bit, and it's hard to tell whether C\S are eliminated or not. Chad did say he would propose on the race, but if they were suddenly eliminated, he would have to hurry it up. It's hard to tell.

Its a repeat of TAR 9 Oman leg in this promo.....fly into Oman....drive to Riyam Park in Muttah. That is where Chad proposes at sunup. That proposal shot is due North with sun coming up in the east. That's why the other teams are present, they are waiting for the HoO at the Great Insense Burner old Portuguese Watch Tower. The steps they are climbing are the steps up to the Incense Burnerold Portuguese Watch Tower.......same start in TAR 9.

It appears that teams drive themselves to the park from the airport in the night and wait for the park to open. Chad proposing during that time makes a lot of sense and the sleeping in looks overplayed by the promos.

Any thoughts on the location of that other task?

Well they are not using the Great Incense Burner for the route info.....they are using the old Portuguese Watch Tower across the highway from it. Its still in Riyam Park. Screencaps 3 and 4. You can see the Great Incense Burner in #3.

Great work Dr.
I wonder if they don't have to wait for the Incense Burner to open because only J/T and C/S are seen there at that time. The HoO hurdle may be somewhere else in the park or before it.

One would think Chad would propose at the PS, but obviously not.

Looks like Thomas, Chad, Nat Jill and Gary Stephanie starting the climb in #3.

One would think Chad would propose at the PS, but obviously not.

Looking at the promo, it seemed like all the other teams were sitting on that seawall, with the girls going "Awwww," when Chad proposes.  He had an audience. It's a neat spot.....Exotic and Romantic.....Arabia at Sunrise.

Correced the identification with thanks to the_prophet. Lesson to self, do not let 5 year old granddaughter play with my glasses when trying to do photo identification.

It looks like Brooke Jill, Vicki and Nick sitting on the fountain wall, not the seawall, in Riyam Park when Chat proposes. Thanks to Peach for the screencap.
