OK, back to Cambodia for a minute. Not sure if this has been identified already, but found this pix of a Bayon Temple gate that looks very close to Matt's gate. The 2004 pix appears to be a view of the gate from the opposite side (outside). Note the "collapsed" stone in the opening above the passage. OK, the 2004 pix has some vegetation, and the opening allows visitors to pass thru, while in Matt's 2008 photo the gate is fenced off, and no vegetation. Things change in 4 years, maybe. Too bad we can't see the other side. Close enough, huh?

Thanks to puddin doing some amazing following a trail detecting, we have some new info which confirms that our date of the 13th for the PitStop is correct! And here is the weather report for Chateau! All thanks to puddin's detective skills and a new friend!! Yes it was the 13th. the first of three teams came in around noon-2ish. i don't really remember exactly, just that it was very early. It had rained all morning and the sun came out around noon.

What is that white/grey square that the crews are holding? Is it supposed to help with the light angle for the cameras?

What is that white/grey square that the crews are holding? Is it supposed to help with the light angle for the cameras? In the TV business, that's called a reflector, to help add light for the cameras. It's used to help illuminate the subject, in this case, The Man!

Maybe it's just me, but it looks like the couple is having a celebratory kiss at the mat in the second pic.
