using Neobie's coordinates:

Managed to match up the train 'station' (1°49'41"W 12°17'52"N) and the town of Bingo (1°49'55"W 12°18'00"N) on Google Earth with this map, but I'm still a little helpless with the rest of the locations. Looks like the building at 1°49'59"W 12°18'11"N is the only one long enough to be the school (the trees kind of match up), so I'm thinking the milking was on the south side of the track and the Pit Stop on the north side?

Chateau was able to give us this exact GE picture match:  :yess:

YOU GUYS ROCK! :kissy:

Quote
Island castle (XIV - XVI c.), Trakai
It is the only insular castle throughout Eastern Europe. It was built on one of the numerous islands in Lake Galvė. The castle was built as a defensive fortress. After the Battle of Žalgiris/Grünwald the castle lost its defensive significance. It was turned into a ducal residence. Trakai Island Castle was the death-place of Grand Duke Vytautas. He died here on 27 October 1430. Later the castle served as a prison. In the XVII century the castle was desolated.
Island castle is one of the most often visited historical-architectural monuments in Lithuania. It houses a historical museum which has been working here since 1962. National events, festivals and concerts take place here.

LOOK! It is the Return of the Amazing Yellow Line!

Thanks so much Neobie--I added those right into the legs! :hearts: :waves:

Now how about the rest of y'all? Help a girl out, please?

If you have a map for any past or future leg that you think is great or have found useful--PLEASE let me know here or by PM and I will add it right into the correct spot so we can all use it!  VR Interactive links are appreciated too!  I'm really happy to be the librarian here but would like this to be a team effort--so please--send more!

Thanks everybody! :hugs:

A collection of BF maps, including rain and railroad maps. A general map source here for Africa and Central America; there's a lot of tools for mapmakers but also some free general stuff.

A su servicio: look here, just to the left of Ouaga along the rail line. GE, for some strange reason, put Bingo up in the Northwest, near Goursi.
An interesting site I came across while looking for maps: admin regions, links to maps, dialing codes and time zones, etc.

Slowhatch, your latest link HERE allowed me to calculate the distance of 35 km (20 miles) from the center of Ouagadougou to Bingo. It will of course be the same distance back. Also, by inference the probability that taxis can be arranged to take the teams back to Ouagadougou late on July 14 if they need to get to the airport is high so close to the capital. There will be roads that were carefully not shown on any screencaps or video.

This isn't a map, but it's a 4 minute video of Dubrovnik. The ends of the zipline are shown briefly once of twice.

A good map I stumbled upon for the route from Ouagadougou to Bingo...

http://www.lib.utexas.edu/maps/ams/west_africa/txu-oclc-6595921-nd30-15.jpg

Managed to match up the train 'station' (1°49'41"W 12°17'52"N) and the town of Bingo (1°49'55"W 12°18'00"N) on Google Earth with this map, but I'm still a little helpless with the rest of the locations. Looks like the building at 1°49'59"W 12°18'11"N is the only one long enough to be the school (the trees kind of match up), so I'm thinking the milking was on the south side of the track and the Pit Stop on the north side?

Hmm, and the official site of Bingo. Can't get much out of their map though.

Trying to figure out where Bouda-Pelegtanga belongs!

Wikipedia claims it's in the town of Yako, and on the map we used last week, there's a village just to the southeast of Yako (the yellow patch right at the top, centre of the map) labelled Pelretanga. Is this it?

That was a bear to find, wasn't it? And thank you SO much for coming to help--I couldn't find it either at first!

Let's hope that this is a case of great minds think alike because Slowhatch and I also came to the same conclusion. Maybe Bouda means village or something in Moore (that e needs an acute but I don't know how  :( )?  Anyway, I updated the Episode Map thread upstream HERE last night--please look over and make sure it is right, okay?

Thanks again for the help--I needed it!

A searchable Taipei street map here, but I can't get it to work right. As an alternative, go here, click on a station and get a street map of the surrounding area. Some general Taiwan maps here.
