What thread contains the spec route? I need to look at it again.  If 5 is Italy and 3 is Russia, does that leave Ep 4 for Stuttgart?

schedule thread Slowhatch !
It also means the Rome spoiler "9 teams left " is wrong !!

pipe@twops posts

I have it on good authority (I'd tell you, but I'd have to kill you) that Rome, Italy is on the roster for TAR9.

When they reach Rome, there will be nine teams remaining. There will be a task (not sure if it's a detour or a roadblock) where the racers have to put together a disassembled faux-Roman statue

Why do they keep revealing the destinations in the episode titles?? :groan:

I mean, it's cool for us 'cause we're trying to figure out the route, but still...a little surprise is always good.

There was a time when TAR producers were more secretive about the race!

As for the 9-team spoiler, I wonder if there were extra supplies set out for the task (as they often do) and the "witness" counted supplies, not teams. It's quite possible there could be 7 teams remaining (or even 8 ) with an extra set or two of supplies.

Here's an updated route spec - I think Slowhatch is right - Stuttgard makes sense for EP4.

EPISODE 3 – 3/14/06
START: Brotas, Brazil (November 10, 2005 AM)
FINISH: Moscow, Russia (November 12, 2005 early AM)
St. Basil’s, diving task (roadblock?), Doll/Grave Search detour(?)
TEAMS LEFT AFTER EPISODE: 8 (9 if NEL)

EPISODE 4 – 3/21/06
START: Moscow, Russia (November 13, 2005 PM/afternoon)
FINISH: Stuttgard, Germany (November 14, 2005 PM)
Black Forest, column at castle

EPISODE 5 - 3/28/06
START: Stuttgard, Germany (November 15, 2005 AM)
FINISH: Rome, Italy (November 16, 2005)
Mentioned by “witness”?, 9 teams remaining at this point(?) or maybe witness saw supplies for 9 teams, task assembling statue

EPISODE 6 – 4/4/06
START: Rome, Italy (November 17, 2005)
FINISH: TO BE CONTINUED (Phil gives them the TBC news in Sicily?)
Shots of ruins at Segesta, late afternoon shot of Joseph at Segesta  amphitheatre
We have a LOT of evidence from sites around Greece/Italy – too many sites to visit in one episode.

EPISODE 7 – 4/11/06
START: Wherever TBC left off
FINISH: Corinth, Greece by way of Zathynikos island (November 18, 2005)
Bungee jumping at canal in Corinth, Nafplion Harbor

EPISODE 8 – 4/18/06
START: Corinth, Greece (November 19, 2005)
FINISH: Oman (November 21, 2005) (by way of Athens)
Night time shot of Parthenon in Athens, TV Guide article

EPISODE 9 – 4/25/06
START: Oman (November 22, 2005)
FINISH: Perth/Rottnest, Australia (November 24, 2005)
Sighting in Perth/Rottnest ON these dates at Woodside building, Fremantle prison, lunch stop

EPISODE 10 – 5/2/06
START: Perth/Rottnest, Australia (November 25, 2005)
FINISH: Darwin, Australia (November 26, 2005)
Crocodylus Park

EPISODE 11 – 5/9/06
START: Darwin, Australia (November 27, 2005)
FINISH: Lopburi Thailand (via Adelaide, Australia and/or Bangkok) (November 28, 2005)
Dates locked in because of monkey festival dates in Lopburi
Couple spotted in Adelaide trying to get to Bangkok

EPISODE 12 – 5/16/06
START: Lopburi, Thailand (November 29, 2005)
FINISH: Tokyo, Japan (November 30, 2005)
Shots of shopping district, Mt. Fuji

EPISODE 13 (HOUR 1) – 5/23/06
START: Tokyo, Japan (December 1, 2005)
FINISH: Anchorage, Alaska (December 2, 2005) – might be pit stop or just rest stop
K2 flying service, sighting in airport

EPISODE 13 (HOUR 2) – 5/23/06
START: Anchorage, Alaska (December 3, 2005)
FINISH: Denver, Colorado (December 3, 2005)

You sure did. Look at the New Intro Caps thread. This pic was the clue and though everyone was searching their little fingers off, Puddins BF came up with the winner.  :jumpy:

Yes and don't forget Porsche’s Weissach test track.

Are we ruling out a double non-elimination? Episode 4's title screams non-elim to me...

If we are lucky, this could be the scene where bj/tyler or Eric/Jeremy are running to the pitstop. The scene is on the ground level. Maybe we can spot Phil and the greeter.

and this scene is just a Travelocity sightseeing tour. This is a top view.

Someone pointed out that pipes might have been a witness to the task as it ws layed out and TPTB might have added an extra set of faux-Roman statue's as we've seen these extras before , TAR8 for example ....Teepees for example .

This sounds like what Desiree would say.

But it could also be said by Eric & Jeremy (quite unlikely since they won't be paying attention to any classes in school) or the Double Ds.

Desiree said something about science during the detour making sugarcane in Brazil, so I'm guessing she's the one saying this quote or either David. Is the date of the show wrong? because I thought the title on March 28 was "kickass we're going to Italy"

The date confusion for Ep6 ("March 28") may be due to the fact that Ep3 was changed after production ended to a double leg, thus delaying Ep5 and Ep6 by one week. This is what happened in TAR6 in Budapest.

TPTB CHANGED the title !!
I'm not complaining though it still fits in well with the Rome spoiler  :jam:

Now I have to wonder if there arent 9 teams left ?!

TV Guide hardcopy ( for what little its worth )
Amazing Race CBS
Phil Keoghan will be eagerly awaiting the team's arrivals in Italy for the fifth leg of the race .
We can't seem to get our fill of Phil , a stand out reality host .
He's more likable and he doesn't get in the way or try to show off like some others .
And there's his dramatic pause on the mat. Gotta love that !

So, since the description of Ep. 6 mentions Sicily, can we assume that Ep. 5 will be mostly Rome and the mainland of Italy?  So Italy may have 2 legs, Rome vicinity and Sicily.  Also the Sicily episode is described in detail, but the Rome episode only has the "assemble the statue" spoiler task.  Does this make any sense.
