Puddin and Hi-Fi were speculating back on page 1 that team 70's might be two guys. I'll join that camp; I took a closer look and it sure looks like a beard on the second person.

Looks like the Carver mask from Nip/Tuck.  I am already scared of this team!

I already love the Dee's our first spoiled team . Love the older couple too as well as the 50 ish ladies .
So who wins ? the 2 dudes in the car ( team 5 ) "off to a Million Bucks "  the Dees's "Were girls & were young and we love boys *giggle*"  or the Nerds , "Were two of the biggest Nerds that you'll ever meet " or the 50 ish grannies ?  :winkC:

The Geeks: 11th Place
Double D's: 10th Place

Thats my prediction as of now.

My guess is the two girls (team 10?) win the million.

Team 70's: it's almost like they're wearing costumes!! ]][

Teams going down first: Double D, Team Nerd, Old couple and Grannies are my preditictions, although Meredith and Gretchen teached us a lesson about older teams.

Teams with more chances of winning, according tho the show history: 2 men team(both teams), young couple team, black guy/asian(?) girl team.

can't tell: 70's team, girl/girl team, first team(we don't know if it's a couple or 2 girls)

This thread has been so much fun for me to read.  You guys are hilarious about the hippies (Team Skittles).  I agree with Puddin.  They look like a team I would enjoy as either for a team to cheer for or to laugh at.  I definitely like their style of clothing with their bell bottom nylon pants and that 70's shirt with the funky opening.  Green shirt guy might start a new fashion trend. :gman:  I wonder if they will have a laid back approach to the game but still do well.  I can hardly wait for this one to start as I do have severe TAR withdrawals as I refused to watch the family edition --I did watch the two hour finale to see where they visited in Canada (that's where I am from) and after watching the weaver family (mom with 3 kids) in action, I remembered why I did not watch the family edition.  I hope CBS gave that Rollie kid money for doing all the tasks for his family---that kid should get a medal.

TAR9 premiere Date Feb 28th

This article confirms the date~

'Amazing Race' Toes Starting Line in February

Monday, January 09, 2006
12:14 PM PT

Fans of "The Amazing Race" have done their best to forget this fall's underwhelming "Family Edition." Apparently CBS has too.
In announcing that the show will return to the airwaves at the end of February, the network makes no mention of the most recent installment, whose ratings lagged behind the two previous seasons. It does note, however, that the show "returns to its international format where teams of two will travel to exotic locations, spanning five continents."

All that will happen starting Tuesday, Feb. 28, when "The Amazing Race" launches its ninth run with a two-hour premiere. The announcement Monday (Jan. 9) follows on the heels of the unveiling of the latest group of "Survivor" contestants. That show returns Thursday, Feb. 2.

"Survivor" will have to face two weeks of NBC's Winter Olympics coverage after it premieres, but "The Amazing Race" will have no such hurdles. Its debut is scheduled for two days after the closing ceremonies in Torino, Italy.
Additionally, CBS says it's keeping the new dramedy "Love Monkey" in the 10 p.m. Tuesday hour after its Jan. 17 premiere; the original plan was to move it to 9 p.m. Tuesdays the following week.

In other scheduling news, UPN has bumped back the premiere date of its unscripted series "Get This Party Started." The show, originally scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 24, will now debut on Tuesday, Feb.

Survivor Panama and The Amazing Race to Return in February  1/10/06

CBS'S REALITY TITANS TO RETURN IN FEBRUARY

"Survivor Panama - Exile Island" Premieres Thursday, Feb. 2, 8:00-9:00 PM

Three Time Emmy Award-Winner "The Amazing Race" Returns for its Ninth Edition

With a Two-Hour Premiere, Tuesday, Feb. 28, 9:00-11:00 PM

"Love Monkey" to Remain In the Tuesday, 10:00-11:00 PM Time Period

CBS's two reality heavyweights -- Survivor and The Amazing Race -- will return in February.

The 12th edition of Survivor, Survivor Panama - Exile Island, premieres Thursday, Feb. 2 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT). The most recent installment, "Survivor: Guatemala," won its time period every week in viewers (18.30m), adults 18-49 (6.5/18) and adults 25-54 (7.9/19) and maintained its place in history as being one of only six programs to finish every season (11 editions over the course of five and a half seasons) in the top 10.

Survivor Panama - Exile Island, hosted by Jeff Probst, will find the 16 new castaways initially divided into four tribes of four -- Older Men vs. Older Woman vs. Younger Men vs. Younger Women (the four tribes will become two during a schoolyard pick in the second episode). During the duration of Survivor Panama - Exile Island, at least one castaway each episode will be banished to a separate island miles away from camp. While being separated from the tribe is not desirable, the castaways will learn that there is a hidden Immunity Idol somewhere on Exile Island. If found, this Immunity Idol could save an individual from being voted out at a future Tribal Council.

Survivor: Panama is produced by SEG, Inc. Mark Burnett and Tom Shelly are the executive producers.

The ninth installment of The Amazing Race returns to its international format where teams of two will travel to exotic locations, spanning five continents, with stops in the Middle East, Moscow and Sicily to name a few. The three time Emmy Award-winning adventure series premieres Tuesday, Feb. 28 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT).

Last spring's The Amazing Race 7, the most recent edition to have the two-person team format, achieved series high ratings in viewers (13.03m), adults 18-34 (4.6/13), adults 18-49 (5.3/13) and adults 25-54 (6.1/14)

The Amazing Race, which has been the recipient of the Emmy Award for Best Reality Program for three consecutive years, is produced by Amazing Race Productions Inc. and Touchstone Television Productions, LLC. Jerry Bruckheimer, Bertram van Munster, Jonathan Littman and Hayma Screech Washington are executive producers. Phil Keoghan is host.

Meanwhile, CBS's mid-season series Love Monkey, which premieres on Tuesday, Jan. 17, will remain in the Tuesday 10:00-11:00 PM time period.
