Nice find, Sups. Root around the parent page and you'll find links to the two people--Dudley and Nicole.

(Both D&N show blog entries through the month of November,so...maybe not. They do look similar, though.)

Was led here by the weecama trail. Man, the spoiling is good here!

The overhead bridge that the lady is running on is indeed in Brazil. Sao Paulo, in fact. It's the Viaduto Santa Ifigenia. Varig's only flights from the United States (Los Angeles, New York and Miami) all head to Sao Paulo, so this isn't that much trouble.

http://www.larsoft.com.br/Luciano/Lindos%2006A.jpg

The second shot is Shibuya Crossing, in one of the billions of shopping districts in Tokyo. You can find the Samsung and HMV neon signs in the background.

And here's what I have so far. Thanks all you guys, this place is great for spoiling minds!

going from denver to miami to catch varig wouldnt work. the daily flight in november left miami at 10 and arrived at 905pm. going denver-la on united to catch varig works also. denver-dallas on american then flying american to brazil would work. the only denver-ny flight that would work is jet blue to jfk then jkf to Sao Paulo on varig

I have a hunch the monkey photos might be Lopburi in Thailand, which holds a monkey festival in Nov. Compare the food in the mask cap with the type of feast set out here. I haven't found a match with the ruins, though (note the pedestal in the background of the cap with what looks to be a Buddha statue).

If it is Shibuya, I'll make an early (and probably wrong) predictiion: racers get their clue from Hachiko.

:thumbC: Nice find on the Zulu Bungy.
Does anyone have decent caps on the aircraft? I can't read the marking on either. The red plane squares with the Alaska sightings, but I have no idea about the yellow helo (except that it's a country where people drive on the right).

So they did come to Brazil. Probably just São Paulo, though.

i believe the red plane in the preview belongs to K2 avaiation because of the 2 on the tail and flys from Anchorage to Talkeetna.

Do ya'll think the couple that says they are total nerds might be the people on this website? I found it way back when looking for TAR 8 spoilers. I saved it just in case. They look similar but I don't know if close enough -- remember the pics are older.

http://www.fiestaterrace.com/dodson/race.html

I certainly could be !!

Jump right in Kogs  {|

Neobie thinks the MT might be Mount Fuji .

You think it could be them?  I personally don't think so as the guy in the picture has reddish hair and the guy in the preview has really dark hair.  Can you put the pictures side by side so we can see the difference?

Thanks puddin, that was fast :thumbC:

However, I still don't see the resemblance at all.  I personally don't think they are the ones who raced

So, how DID I wind up in an apartment in Cambridge, MA with three grad students including two contestants on the Amazing Race? Okay, so I'm still a bit fuzzy on that all myself. But let's cover what I DO know...

ETA: granted the picture might be old , people have been known to change their hairstyles , I beleive its them .

The Red plane has tail number N727KT and belongs to the company shown below.

This was the same flying company that was on TAR2.

Corrected the Tail # fior the one in the promo  *8/
