Now I'm mad.
I went back to one of the old DVDs I had made to get a screencap of Ken at the Fountain of Wealth in Singapore (that's the answer: a team member had to run around the fountain three times before the team could collect their clue). The disc wouldn't play in my set-top box and locked up the software player when I tried the computer. Now it turns out that many, perhaps most, of the DVDs I've made, going back to the end of TAR2, may be worthless. I think I'll give up on authoring and just burn the raw files to disc from now on. ]*] |( >^%

WinDVD 7. It plays the commercial Hollywood stuff OK; it's only my files that freeze it. Oh well, I'll look on the bright side. One good thing about burning the raw files to a disc is that it makes a kind of backup; if my future authoring efforts go sour, I can always try something different or start over.
