Goverment Motorcade holds up Adam Beccas taxi  {l{

All four teams scatter and search for taxis to take them either 31 or 34 miles to the DETOUR.

Rebecca: Today is going to be a test of wills.
Kris: We're ahead of everyone. What goes around comes around. (Huh?!?) 

Rebecca, to her driver:
Hayden: We're getting taken on a goose chase! I need you to do something about it, Aaron!
Aaron: WE're at the mercy of this cab driver.
Hayden: You don't care?
Jon: We're at the mercy of the cab driver.
Kris giggles. 
Okay, I see the contrast. LOL.
NOW GET ON WITH THE RAAAACEEEE!!

Teams start to arrive at their respective destinations.
Adam/Rebecca arrive first to Spray.
Kris/Jon do Spray.
Freddy/Kendra do Spray.
Spraying, Aaron: Don't get it too thick!

First done, Adam/Rebecca, CLUE: Travel to the Terra Cotta Warriors Museum.
Phil: They were built to guard the first Chinese emperor. This is the greatest archaeological discovery of the 20th century.


In the cab, hugging Adam.
Rebecca: How'd we beat Aaron and Hayden!?!?

Man tells Aaron he's not done yet.
Finally they finish, in second.
Hayden is having a cow she's in such a hurry.
Hayden henpecks Aaron on their way out of the car place.

Rebecca, to driver: Why are we stopping?
Driver: Government motorcade.
Rebecca: We finally get a 10 minute lead and this? Now, no lead.

Cab troubles plague two teams.
Aaron and Hayden are lost.
Freddy and Kendra are lost.

Finally, Freddy/Kendra get to the museum.
Finally, Jon gets the CLUE.
"Make your way to Mount Hua."
Freddy and Kendra look for pit one and the TAR flag.
Kris: I wish we had more time to see it (the museum).
Jon: Cool! Like a whole army of statues!

Freddy, CLUE: Mount Hua.
Kendra: North peak!

Hayden: Where is it? We're in a hurry? That ride was a nightmare!
Finally Aaron/Hayden get inside and get the Mount Hua clue.

Hayden calls a taxi, but is stuck with the bad taxi.
Aaron: Use him. It'll take us 10 minutes.
Hayden: You sure? (to driver: Fast! Fast!)

Rebecca: Don't jinx us!
John: The language barrier. The language is very abrupt. Not at all like English.
Kris: Chinese is not a Germanic language!

In the lead, Adam/Rebecca get on a shuttle bus to the North Peak of Mount Hua.

Kris/Jon buy an entrance ticket as Adam/Rebecca's shuttle bus sits, parked.
Kris/Jon get on the same bus, much to Rebecca's displeasure.
Kris/Jon make a full bus, and it leaves.

Freddy/Kendra get on the next bus.

Hayden/Aaron having cab trouble. He's lost.
H: Are you kidding me?
Aaron: Get out.
H: No!
Aaron: We're getting out.
To a woman: Where is this (pointing)?
To the cabbie: You were going in the WRONG direction! Fricking China! Aaron, do NOT give him Chinese money! You got us lost!!
Cabbie touches Aaron's backpack.
Aaron: Do NOT touch me!
Hayden: Do you plan on walking? Any suggestions on getting a cab in the middle of nowhere?
Aaron: Give me your bag.

COMMERCIAL.

Hayden: Ugh!
Aaron: Here's a taxi. Here.
Hayden: We're in a hurry!
Aaron: If we're out, we're out. There's more important things in life.
Hayden: I'm sorry.
They hug.
H: I just can't believe we're done.
A: We'll try our best.


Adam/Rebecca and Kris/Jon hoof it to the gondola ride up the mountain.
Adam: Is it safe? 
Jon: Come on, honey! Let's go!
Kendra and Freddy make a run for the gondolas. They seem to make the same series of gondolas as the lead teams.

Kris/Jon run the wrong way up a ****load of stairs!
They turn around and go back.
Adam/Rebecca also went the wrong way.
Both teams double back.

Atop the peak after a zillion steps ...
CLUE, Freddy/Kendra. ROADBLOCK.
Which one of you is more methodical?
Phil: Take the unique key and find the specific lock that it opens, among more than 3,000 locks fastened atop this mountain by couples showing their eternal love. They must find it before the park closes, at 7 pm.
Kendra: Should I unlock one? You're kidding?
Freddy: Go thru each and every one!

Hayden, to locals: Where is the SHUT-TLE?
She shows them a picture.
Hayden: Where is THISSSSSS? Aaron! I cannot take it! Where is the DAMN BUS!!!

Kris, Kendra and Rebecca try the various locks.
There are zillions.
Kendra: It fit inside, but it didn't turn.
Adam: One by one!
Rebecca: I have to be sane about this.

Hayden: Where is the SHUT-TLE? WHERE? I'm THIS close to quitting!!
They buy tickets, and get on a bus.
Woman: Wrong bus.
Hayden: Aaron! Do something!
 

Jon: Good job, sweetie! Nice job!
Rebecca: Such a tease!
Kendra: These locks are from the year two! Older than the hills!

Hayden: We buy a ticket from you (local)?
Aaron: I don't want to do this anymore.
They get on the shuttle.

Still turning locks ...
First open, Kris.
Kris, CLUE: Make your way to the pitstop.
Phil: They'll make their way to Xian by bus, and find the south wall battlement. The last team to check in WILL be eliminated.
Freddy: Kris/Jon have an angel sitting on them.
Jon: Kris has a great way under pressure!

Lock opened first: Kris/Jon.
CLUE, Head to the pitstop (Xian). Last team WILL be eliminated.

Second opening lock, Freddy/Kendra.

As Rebecca struggles, Aaron/Hayden arrive at the locks.
Frustrated Hayden tries to open a lock.
Hayden's key gets stuck.
H: I'm so mad I could use my teeth!
Hayden's key breaks.
She throws it down in disgust.

Aaron: Omigod.
Hayden: What if you need another key?
Aaron: Go to the reception desk at the North Peak hotel.

Rebecca, relieved, takes her time with the locks.
Adam encourages her.

Freddy/Kendra and Kris/Jon making their way to the city of Xian.

Adam: Every single one!
Rebecca: Don't start with me or I'll throw you off the mountain!
Adam: Keep going!
Hayden starts again.
Aaron, conf: It's so frustrating for me not to just jump in there and do it.

Footrace to the pitstop ...

Man: Welcome to Xian, China.
Phil: Kris/Jon, you're team #1. You've won a vacation to the sunny Caribbean. Congratulations. You're one of the final three teams racing for $1 million dollars.

Phil: Freddy/Kendra, you're team #2.
Kendra: Yes! Yes!
Phil: Congratulations. You'll race to the finish line.
Kendra: He promised final three! He's my little hero

Rebecca: I've been doing this for three hours! I'm officially insane!
Hayden: This is for you, babe.
Adam: It's 6:33! You have to find it before 7:00!
Rebecca: I'm destroying my fingers! I dont think I'll ever be a hand model.
Aaron: Try.
Hayden: I'm stupid. My fingers are bleeding. I've been here for how long? I'm THIS close to stopping.
Aaron: I'm okay with any decision you make.
Rebecca: It's unnerving.
Adam: Stop being a baby. Just get it done.
Hayden: I'm trying as much as I can. It won't budge. This is very frustrating.
Rebecca: I can't feel my fingers.
Hayden: I'm done.
Aaron: We're done. We're giving up.

 

Rebecca's lock finally opens ... it's almost 7 pm and Adam/Rebecca head down the hill.

Hayden/Aaron walk off in disgust.
Hayden: We're taking the penalty.
Aaron, CLUE: Make your way to the pitstop.
On the gondola ...
Hayden: I lost it for us.
Aaron: No you didn't.
H: Yes I did. I didn't know how to put a key in a lock and open it.

Night falls.

Haydon Aaron arrive 3rd but because they took the four hour penalty for not removing the lock..Adam & Becca are team #3

Both teams arrive together, running.

Phil: Hayden/Aaron, you're the 3rd team to arrive, but you've been penalized four hours.

Phil: Adam/Rebecca, you're the last team to arrive, but because of their penalty you're still racing for the $1 million prize.

Aaron: I have something to ask you.
Hayden, as he gets down on a knee: No way!
Aaron: I've been wanting to ask, will you marry me?
Hayden: Of course I'll marry you! I love you!
Phil: What do you love about her?
Aaron, sobbing: She's a wonderful person. I love you so much, Hayden. I'm so happy right now. Screw everything else. This is all that matters.
Hayden, conf: This was the adventure of a lifetime. We want to be together forever, which is the best thing a girl can ask for.

Commercial: Dr. Phil is pimped doing therapy with Jonathug and Victimia.

Phil: Xian, China.

Kris/Jon, CLUE. 5:27 am.
Go to Honolulu.
Phil: When they land, drive to Puluuelaka State Point to a lookout, for the next clue.

Jon: We have to buy our tix before going to the airport.
Phil: Local laws require them to buy from a travel agent, not at the airport.
Kris: We were focusing on not being eliminated. Now we're trying to win.
Kris approaches a hotel ticket counter for internet access. Denied.
They'll opt for the phone.

Freddy/Kendra leave in 2nd, at daybreak.
They'll also go back to the hotel for ticket booking.
Freddy/Kendra see Kris/Jon at the hotel counter.
Both teams have trouble using the phone to book.
Kris/Jon leave in a taxi for a travel agent.
Freddy/Kendra stay at the hotel; they're repeatedly disconnected.
At the ticket agent, Kris/Jon are "lost in translation" and can't buy a ticket at the agent. They'll head back to the hotel.

First buying tickets, Freddy/Kendra get one to arrive 9:30 am in Honolulu.
The airport is an hour away from Xian, and they're "cutting it close" to make that flight.
They get in a cab and haul it toward the airport.

Second, Kris/Jon try to get the same flight. They can't; there's no way to get to the airport in time. Kris/Jon get a 9:45 arrival in Honolulu.

Freddy/Kendra arrive at the airport in the nick of time.
They high-five.
Freddy/Kendra wing their way to Honolulu.

Kris/Jon's plane takes off for Honolulu, in second place.

11:20 am, Adam/Rebecca leave the pitstop.
Adam: Anything can happen.
Adam/Rebecca get a plane thru Osaka for 11 am arrival in Honolulu.

Phil: Teams connect through either Osaka or Tokyo.
In Osaka, Freddy and Kendra opt for a better looking flight.
Freddy: An emergency! Do you have seats? We need to get to Honolulu 3 hours ahead!
Man: We don't have a meal.
Freddy: We don't need a meal!
Man: Against company policy.
Kendra: Please I have a sick child in Honolulu!
Kendra fakes tears.
Man: Please don't cry! It's company policy. Sorry.
Freddy: I can't believe it. They have seats available but they won't give them to us. I don't get it.

Kris/Jon in Tokyo also try to improve flights.
Woman: Economy only 1 seat available.
Jon: Can't take Economy. You can't help me?
Woman: No.


Adam/Rebecca seek an earlier flight out of Osaka.
They plead "emergency" also.
Thanks asswipes. Now NOBODY in the world will believe that ANY American has an "emergency!" 

Adam/Rebecca beg better seats ...
Freddy/Kendra's plane hasn't left yet ...
Can Adam/Rebecca get on their plane?

Rebecca: They just got on the plane! We're right behind them! This is so important!
Adam: You just let 10 people walked by! We have paid for full fare tickets! You chose not to let us on! You're really MEAN! You're VERY COLD!

 

Freddy/Kendra share a passionate kiss as their plane takes off without Adam/Rebecca.

Kris/Jon board in Tokyo.
Kris: It could come down to minutes in the final leg.

Adam: If we catch up, we're gonna win!!

Kendra: Yes!
Freddy: H1, east?
Kendra: Yeah! We're in Hawaii, baby!

Kris/Jon get in their SUV.
They notice one SUV remains, and theorize it's Adam and Rebecca that haven't yet arrived.

State Park.
CLUE, Freddy/Kendra: DETOUR.
Outfits, or Outriggers?
Phil: Outfits, travel 10 miles to a clothing distributor. Pick a mannequin. Search racks with 160,000 articles of clothing. Put on the outfit on your chosen mannequin. Could take time.
Outriggers, drive 6 miles to a canoe club. With the help of a steersperson, take a 2 mile course. It could be difficult.

Freddy: Let's paddle.
Kendra: We could paddle.

Adam: H1, right? It's raining hard!

Kris/Jon arrive at the CLUE in the rain.
They're NOT doing outriggers? Whuuuut?
Jon: We're getting wet anyway.
Kris: Who cares? It's water?
They opt for the mannequins/outfits.

Freddy gets directions and can't pronounce the name of the place they're looking for ... lol .. finally they find it and start paddling. Kendra soaks Freddy with a badly aimed paddle stroke.

Kris/Jon use the motorized racks, and quickly find the matching man's shirt they're looking for. Now they'll look for the matching dress.

Adam/Rebecca, DETOUR clue, head back to the car.
Kris: Stop! Stop! That's it!!
Kris is right; the dress matches.
Man gives them a clue as they celebrate.
Kris/Jon, CLUE: Drive yourselves to Kamaka Air.
Phil: They'll receive their next clue.

Freddy/Kendra finish rowing, in 2nd.

Who's ready for an ocean dive?
Phil: The person doing this ROADBLOCK must skydive in tandem with an instructor from 11,000 feet, land on a sandbar in the middle of the bay for the next clue.

Jon suits up for the skydive.

Kendra, in the back seat of the SUV: Where are the other teams?
Freddy: Look for street signs, honey! We've gone too far!
Kendra: You sure?
Freddy: Yeah. I'm turning around. We're going down the back of this mountain now. Dammit!

Freddy: Here's Lagoon Drive.

Rebecca gets in the Outrigger.
R: No more lollygagging!

Freddy: There it is, I think.
Kendra: The clue box!
CLUE: Who's ready for an ocean dive?
Freddy: I'm ready!!


Rebecca, rowing: I hope another team will emerge from the bush.
Jon and Freddy are on the same plane!!!
It's like a bad remake of Point Break ... but without the dead president masks.
Kendra: I'm jealous of him skydiving! The race is on!
Freddy: Jump out of this airplane and run to the finish line.


Jon, then Freddy, take the jump and skydive.

Kris: Nice, baby! Nice!
Jon waves.
Kris: He's awesome! He rocks!
They kiss.
CLUE: Fly to your final destination city, Chicago.
Phil: They must drive back to Honolulu Int'l Airport and fly to Chicago. They'll travel by train to the Water Tower, one of the few buildings that survived the Fire of 1871.

Freddy descends in the parachute and sloshes through the water to the clue box. He and Kendra kiss, in 2nd place.

Adam/Rebecca approach the clue box.
He'll jump from 11,000 feet.
Rebecca: You'll DO IT?!?
Rebecca is laughing her ass off. 

Kris giving Jon directions back to the airport ...
Adam airsick ... has to be lifted up bodily before he jumps.
Adam: What am I doing?
Out he goes ... lol .. shrieking all the way down.
Below, Rebecca: Whew! Yeah, Adam!! HI!!

Adam hits the water and they get the clue.
Off to the airport with them.

Chicago F/K arrive
J&K arrive in Chicago

First to the airport, Kris/Jon try American Airlines.
4:30 departure, arrives Chicago 5:43 am.
Kris: That's the fastest of any airline?
Man: Yes.
Jon conf: I know that Freddy/Kendra will get on a flight right on our tail.

Freddy/Kendra go to United.
They get tickets to arrive 5:15 am.
Kendra: Any other airline getting in faster?
Woman: No.

I'm not sure how, but Kendra realizes they've got a relatively big lead of 30 minutes on Kris/Jon getting into Chicago.

Adam/Rebecca get on a plane.
Adam: I just jumped out of one of these!

In Chicago ...
Freddy/Kendra 1st.
Up the escalator running.
Second flight arrives 15 minutes early.
Kris: Someone on our flight told us United arrived earlier that this flight! But we arrived early.
Jon: And hit the ground running.

Kendra asks directions to the water tower on their way out of the airport. They take the train underground.
Kris/Jon also head downstairs.
Jon: Another team been through?
Woman: Yup. Just went through.

Freddy, waiting for the train: No matter what ...

Kris, on train: Freddy/kendra are on the train ahead of us. It could be a footrace.

In downtown, sunrise.
Freddy/Kendra and Kris/Jon haul ass on foot.
Kris gets out the map looking for the Water Tower.

First there: Freddy/Kendra, CLUE.
Take a taxi to Gino's East Pizzeria, North Wells Street.
Phil: Once inside, they must each eat 1/2 a deep dish pizza for the next clue.

F/K arive at Ginos..each eat 2 slices of pizza

K/J on there way to the pizza place
Kendra gagging  (%#..I cant do it this is digusting

In a cab, Freddy/Kendra muse how they'd eat bugs or anything they had to, to win.
Kris/Jon get their clue and can't hail a cab.
Finally Kris/Jon get one.
Woman: You each have to eat two slices.
Kendra: That's IT?
Freddy: Chew!
Kendra: I can't move any faster!
Kris: Deep dish is thick!
Freddy: Just finish, and we're on that mat!
Kendra gags.
Freddy: It's a 1 million dollar pizza.
Kendra: I can't do it! It's disgusting!!

Freddy: Don't let the pizza beat you! Just stuff it in your mouth!
Kris: It's 7:15 am! I can't think of anything better than a Gino's Pizza!
Freddy: It's the best pizza you're ever gonna have.
Kendra finishes.
CLUE: Take a taxi to Ping Tong. Once there, follow the flags to the finish line.
Kendra: Yippee!
Freddy: Go! Go! Taxi! Taxi!

Freddy/Kendra leave as Kris/Jon sit down to eat.
Kris stuffs pizza in her face like a woman possessed.

Freddy still hasn't gotten a taxi.
Freddy, to cop in car: It's an emergency! I need a taxi!
Woman in car: Why? What's the emergency?
Freddy: Never mind. We're in a race.
Finally Freddy runs his butt off and finds some guy to give him a ride.
Freddy: I'll give you $50!
