SO PLEASE ** NO OUTCOMES ** to be posted before the show is DONE airing Central/East Coast time!

And we are on the air!

Previously on TAR, 8 teams traveled through Cordoba, Argentina for a crazy mega leg! Group 2ers were strategizing with safety in numbers. Angie got car sick and wanted to call it quits, but Amber saved their behind. At the Detour, the group made an effort to block out Yvonne & Melissa and Sunny & Bizzy. After battling in bubbles and squaring off with the beef cuts, Juan & Shane won 1st! Ricky & Cesar moved down to 2nd. Between navigational nightmares and costly mistakes, Derek & Shelisa ended their race.

We come back to Phil announcing Uruguay as the next leg to Ricky & Cesar, Juan & Shane, and the rest of the teams on the mat. They are booking their hotel stay in Montevideo via the Expedia app.

Ricky & Cesar are in it for the long haul and plan on staying in the first group for as long as they can. Ricky feels a weird sense of calm. Juan & Shane plan to keep their edge against the boyfriends sharp. Juan got food poisoning overnight and feeling a bit out of it.

Group 2 of Amber & Vinny and Rod & Leticia depart. Amber & Vinny plan to survive and are eyeing to run their own race today. They want to get 1st place. Amber says the way they are driving doesn't look right and Vinny is adamant.

Leticia sees water ahead, confessing she and Rod are working very well. Leticia misses her kid a lot and Rod affirms their relationship is one-of-a-kind. She doesn't want to let their close family down. Rod says it's game time.

We come back to Ricky & Cesar finding the port's checkpoint and see the clue box. ROADBLOCK: "Who wants to make sparks fly?"
One team member must weld two pieces of metal together. If their metal piece passes the impact test with a hammer, they will receive their next clue.

Cesar does the task and knows how to use the tools, despite not being very good at welding himself.

Shane & Juan arrive, Shane does the task.

Cesar running down to the beach to learn how to set up the equipment and operate. Juan is shocked by Ricky's reply saying Cesar knows how to weld.

Group 3 of Angie & Danny, Sunny & Bizzy, and Yv & Mel leave. "It's awful to be starting in the back and having that 30 minute gap." - Yvonne :O

Yvonne & Melissa don't want to follow the directions aimlessly. They say this is their "baby bootcamp".

Angie getting in the car and leaving behind Sunny & Bizzy mapping out their directions. They want to win some vacations and money for first. Bizzy says they need to stop and figure out where they are. Bizzy says in a confessional they will step over their bodies to pass them.

Danny has a revelation and doesn't want to work with other teams today. Angie is excited, even surprised by not stopping to ask for directions.

Juan says Shane is a champ for taking on the RB for today knowing he's sick.

Cesar sees his dreams being crushed as the metal welding is a total failure. He needs to re-weld. Shane neutralizes the heat on his piece and brings it up to the weldmaster. And it's a fail!

Vinny used to be in a metal shop elective course in college. Leticia's never seen Rod weld anything for the 13 years they've been together.

Shane almost passes the impact test, but it's not enough.

Leticia and Amber socialize a bit saying Vinny being a good welder would earn approval from her father.

Yvonne & Melissa stopping to get directions in Spanish. Angie & Danny are lost. Sunny & Bizzy are on Barcelona and Bizzy realizes they are driving the other way. They begin getting into a disagreement.

Angie sees the entrance to the port. Danny plans on moving up without the need for alliances. Good. 5th place at the RB. Danny does the task. Danny has used the welding gun to make a Skittle-sorting robot for one of his engineering courses in college.

Vinny and Amber not deciding on the directions and gets into an argument.

Danny calms himself down while Cesar is stressed teams are all showing up.

We come back to Cesar's dream of 1st place again hammering away. He is feeling a bit of self-doubt prior to his third attempt. The second hit does it! It passes! They leave in 3rd.

Shane goes for another attempt feeling great. Success! They leave in 4th, leaving Angie & Danny as the only team there.

Yvonne & Melissa bypass the boyfriends leaving. They also see the pilots. Yvonne does the RB. Melissa mentions her dad would've been proud to experience welding, but she doesn't know how to put stuff together.

Sunny & Bizzy see Ricky & Cesar driving the other way. They arrive at the RB. Bizzy does the task and she knows how to weld stuff. Yvonne has not welded anything. "First time's the charm." - Yv

Angie says Rod told the peanut gallery he is a weldin' man.

Meanwhile, Rod & Leticia asking for directions while Amber & Vinny arrive at the clue box. DETOUR: Candome or Murga
In Candome, teams must complete a drum routine to receive their next clue. In Murga, teams must sing (sigh) a Uruguayan Carnival song.

Amber & Vinny working against each other while Vinny maps out the direction in full control. Amber is getting very frustrated and it all blows up in the car ride! "There's a lot of attitude, yelling, and back-and-forth, and we just end up getting nowhere in those situations." Amber wants to contribute to the team, but Vinny is feeling spent with her energy.

Danny noticing what he is doing wrong with the motion of the weld. "I feel like Barney." - Yvonne

Danny goes for another try and the impact test is a pass! They move on in 5th with classic TAR music in the background.

Sunny (whoops, been saying Bizzy the whole time) fails the RB right after Yvonne.

Juan & Shane go too far in the opposite direction and have to drive back. Rod & Leticia don't see where they are going while Ricky is trusting on Cesar to provide directions and learning a lot.

Ricky & Cesar arrive at the DT clue and Ricky wants to sing. His language skills aren't amazing, but Cesar mentions that is his strong suit.

Sunny (got this right finally!) passes the impact test! They move on in 6th. Meanwhile, Yvonne finishes right behind her.

Bizzy pronounces the Wisconsinite/"white girl version" of Montevideo. Yvonne & Melissa all ready on their navigation.

Amber & Vinny arrive at the DT in 3rd. They ask someone to pull out Google Maps. They do drums. Juan & Shane grab the clue right behind and do drums.
