Previously on TAR, 12 TEAMS embarked on a race starting in Munich, Germany! Teams received shocking news by the Scramble, learning the stakes were higher than ever with zero non-elimination Legs. In the first Scramble, Marcus & Michael took an early lead, but saw it slip away. Derek & Claire sawed, smashed, and rolled to victory! Meanwhile, Aastha & Nina stumbled and couldn't recover, eliminating them from the race.

This season, teams are departing in groups of 3 every 15 minutes.

Derek & Claire, Glenda & Lumumba, and Quinton & Mattie leave in Group 1. They must drive to Innsbruck, Austria, famous for its mountain views and impressive architecture. They must proceed to Grinwalderhof to find their next clue.

Glenda & Lumumba have only been married 1 year and been together 2 years. Lumumba says he must learn to get better directions. They ask a gas station clerk and are starting to realize how competitive each other is. Derek & Claire ask a local to map it out for them.

We return to Quinton & Mattie miscontrued their directions by finding Grunwalderhof first before traveling to Group 2 consisting of Linton & Sharik, Emily & Molly, Tim & Rex, and Marcus & Michael departing.

Rex automatically wants to trade... they like each other as partners. Marcus & Michael get along with the golfer and ex-NFL coach and are learning to be more patient and cognizant of each other.

Linton & Sharik find a local for help on directions while Emily & Molly join them in gathering info. "That is so frustrating, how did everyone leave so fast?!"

Derek & Claire navigating currently with a rinse and repeat. Mattie is reading a compass.

Abby & Will, Rich & Dom, Luis & Mich, and Aubrey & David leave in Group 3 following each other. Derek & Claire find their pinpoint location while Marcus & Michael are comfortable with the map. Rex says this is "the new Rex" with a calm composure, but all is gone once he heads home.

Glenda & Lumumba are officially Team Boom Boom! Dedicated to their newborn when they start a family. <3

Quinton & Mattie realize they are driving to Grunwalderhof in Austria instead of within Munich. "Rookie mistake!" Classic failure sound effect.

We come back from break to the cheerleaders are in for a much much longer road trip. :funny: They realize they are roaming the wrong country. I wouldn't be too sure Group 3 is a good safety net.

Derek & Claire reach the farm while Marcus & Michael catch up to Group 1, meaning Tim & Rex are also here! They pick up their next clue.

ROADBLOCK: Who wants to call in the cows?
One team member must properly yodel three songs to receive their next clue.

Linton & Sharik reveal their background emigrating from Jamaica to get a better life for themselves. Emily & Molly are making memories after 36 years of missing their other half. The sisters have trouble navigating. They are quickly learning that they have personality imbalances.

Dom is bright and loves being exuberant and authentic. She is a fairy in a mermaid body. :funny:

Aubrey is getting emotional about seeing these beautiful terrains.

Michael got the first yodel correct. Claire and Rex talk about yodeling being their primary way of communication during plays on the field. :funny:

Glenda is tongue-tied while Michael goes to Yodel 2 and fails lyrically. Rex too.

Luis & Michelle know they have a strong relationship and can come in from behind. Abby & Will are stressed and are re-introduced as a high school sweetheart couple dating for 8 years. Lots of photomontage content from them. "I hope we get to wear a fun costume!" -Abby

Quinton & Mattie talk about their cheerleading background and Quinton becoming the first male cheerleader in the NFL. He knows Austria is known for skiing. They confuse Austria for Bosnia. Woah! First time they mentioned Bosnia on the series. :funny:

Linton & Sharik, Emily & Molly, and Rich & Dom get to the RB in 5th, 6th, and 7th.

Luis & Michelle are going the wrong way while Abby & Will are headed in the correct direction.

This is why you should shame people who make geography blunders IMO, but in a nice way.
