Fly to Vancouver BC!

Craig and Catherine 6:02 am, Craig points out they are the last non-sibling team left.

Jessie and Marika 6:04 am

Franella 6:17 am

All teams on the same flight to Vancouver. Next clue is at Cardero Park

Teams are on taxis to the park.

Jessie and Marika first into a cab. Franella's cab driver's name is Gurmail, which I think foreshadows our title quote. 

C/C first to the clue:

RB: WHo should just drop it?

Wear dolphin suit, get into helicopter. Two teams at a time and jump into the water 20 feet below. Swim over to buoy to get next clue.

Catherine is doing this RB. Jessie, Nella and Connor doing the rb

Confusion on all teams getting to the RB, Sisters first? Brothers second

RB: Who should just roll with it? The other team member must do this RB (Franca, Brendan, Marika and Craig)

Make your way by taxi to the Wallace Shipyard to complete a roller skating rb (no task description just yet)

C/C and J/M struggling to find their way to the heliport.

We come back to J/M looking for directions from a local.

C/C arrive at rb. they are in third.

Catherine jumps, followed by Jessie.

First two teams arrive at the second RB. Complete obstacle course using old school skates, in 75 seconds or less.

Brendan easily completes the second RB in first.

NExt clue: Make your way to the Old Auditorium at UBC.  Perform Opera with Italian

Franca  is struggling.

Craig now doing the second RB.

Franca now completes the second RB, in second, and they are on their way to the singing task

Nella, with the title quote, "Where is Gurmail?"

Craig finishes the rb in third.

The sisters, took down their cab's # and called him from a local (lol)

We cut to Marika doing the second RB and she does it in one attempt.

Marika is frustrated.

We cut to the brothers practicing the Opera task, this looks a bit difficult

 They are on their first try, and cringe lol. They are not correct.

C/C are in second now and are at the singing tas. They sing professionally, and this might be their task

Sisters are right behind.

Siblings now at the singing task. All 4 teams are here now.

C/C are now attempting. On their second turn. And they get their clue!

Clue: Choose a table at a sign at the Richmond Night Market, and fill their order (10 items per list) from the market.

Sisters try the singing task, and do not get their clue.

C/C arrive at the night market now. They get their first of 10 filled

Sisters finally get their next clue on their second attempt.

We are back

Marika asks how much time Jessie needs. They are now making an attempt. They are not right.

Brother on their 6th attempt. They get their next clue!

Franella arrive at the market. THey are preordering at the stands and going to the others, while CC are just going 1 by 1.

Franella finish the food task first! Their strategy paid off.

Make your way to the Vancouver Public Library Central Branch for the final task.

CC just finished the food task. They had their taxi park outside, while sisters didn't (there is a huge traffic jam exiting the market), so now CC are in first.

Commercial.

We are back.

CC and sisters are first to final task, virtual tie.

Solve 27 riddles based on the challenges they completed on the race, (only the 9 legs all 4 teams competed in will be used), and must sort them on leg location, in the order they happened.

Brothers and Siblings finish the food task.

Sisters get a check and they are wrong. They have only 1 wrong

Brothers are at the final task now.

Siblings there now too. All 4 teams at final task.

Brothers are wrong, same mistake as sisters.

CC get a check and are also wrong, with the same mistake.

JM are also wrong with the same error lol.

All 4 teams have one error and the same one!

We are back! This is so close.

CC make the switch! And they get it!! THey are in first.

Clue: Make your way to Gate A of BC Place on foot.

Jessie and Marika get a chec and are in second!

Sisters finally get it in third.

Craig and Catherine are the official winners of the Amazing Race Canada!!!

They were also the ones hosting the big finale party in Toronto tonight with several other teams in attendance (including Vicki from TAR17 apparently, as she commented on the Instagram post about it).

Reminds me of how Jason & Amy basically gave away their win by hosting the finale party of their season.

Just glad it wasn't Franella, though Catherine & Craig did miss 2 legs through no fault of their own.

Now half of the TARCAN winners and 4 of the last 5 winners of the show have had LGBT contestants on them (Steph & Kristen, Sam & Paul, Anthony & James and now Catherine & Craig). TARCAN is really doing a great job with casting strong LGBT teams.

No big reason. I just didn't like Amy & Maya's win pushing out a team who fought for their spot in that season's final 3, and was rooting against a repeat of it on the TAR record books

At least Canada just did it like Vietnam 6 and let all 4 teams cross the finish team. That's not so bad.

Overall I thought it was an exciting and well-designed leg. When Franella left the night market first I really thought and hoped they would win. That riddle that stumped everyone seemed very strange and weird, like they created it specifically so people would get stuck. Team Franella Forever!

I also hoped for a Franella victory, but Catherine and Craig were my second choice!
I would also have been ok with a victory from the other two teams, honestly the whole cast was great!

Hope we get a season 9 (that I will get cast on) because season 10 turns out to be Canada All Star hahah

Awesome end to the season.

Not too much for both Roadblocks, but the first one was a cool stunt task. As a result, the opera task provided the first real shake-up, and it only continued from there. The night market task allowed teams to game the cooking times to get ahead, and they must have been there for a while. We ended with a really great final task that was reminiscent of the final task from TARC 2. The stamp riddle was so deceptive. Also, why was Jon acting like Dr. Seuss?
